Illegal Immigration to the US is at its lowest level since 2004, Obama has deported more illegal aliens, undocumented workers, than any other president.
My views on illegal immigration used to be closer to yours (having lived in fla) until I saw how these trade deals were making a mess of things across the border. We have tens of millions of baby boomers retiring in the coming years, we need people kicking into the system to be able to provide for them. Many millions of seniors wont be able to fully provide for themselves. We need the tax dollars.
If you want to blame someone for the lost jobs to illegals, blame the companies that hire them at lower wages, who skirt labor laws. Id blame them before some desperate mfer trying to feed his family.
Most illegals are long term residents, the problem isnt as dire as you say it is. One more example of Trump and others using this subject to distract you and the other Trumpettes. The fact is that most of the problems this country faces was caused mostly by white people. As a white guy I take no pleasure in saying that, but its the truth.
All problems are from white people... If they will go back to Europe (together with Asian which should go back to Asia and African Americans who should go back to Africa) and leave America to Native Americans the Golden Age will arrive in no time.
This was already tested in South African countries and locals are going back to lifestyle they like rather quickly...

Somehow I dont believe thats the "breathing room" you fully support. You always seem to side with the oppressors over the oppressed, the wealthy over the poor, the colonizers over the colonized. Only the things that affect your demographic seem to concern you, everything else is just one big joke.

Yes, in many ways the civilization we build is based on blood, sweat, and struggles of millions who were treated badly.
There was no other way and still is no other way.
Thats very pretty and all, but it doesnt change anything I said. Accepting things the way they are right now is one thing. Endorsing them, enabling them, is entirely another.
If you have the solution in mind to make things better now or going forward this should be always considered.
However the mechanism of the society is quite complicated and driven by lows of human nature same as the low of nature define our universe. And human nature is changing very slowly. We are greedy aggressive carnivores give or take.
We are getting more "human" as it makes sense more and more but it is a very gradual and uneven process.
Thats what most of us have been doing in this thread, not playing the gadfly. Our country never would have been founded with your attitude. East India Tea Company have a monopoly on Tea? Why have a Tea Party? Let them tax us and give an unfair advantage to the largest corporation the world has ever seen. Lets just crack some jokes, and get back to going broke.
