This has been one of the best playoff yrs other then the yr the Knicks went to the finals in 99.

yeah, and i dunno if some knick fans realize, but that knick team became hugely popular even for a ny team. i have said this elsewhere, but i have friends from all around the country (texas, ohio for example) who loved that team and became huge fans.

this is basketball.

last night was with my friend after we went to see the wackness...sorry terminator salvation (okay, not THAT bad) and we watched a good part of the la-denver game and we were loving it.

we are really seeing playoff basketball! guys playing hard, with heart and love for the game!

any fan, casual or hardcore, can't ignore that kind of play.

He allowed him to run out to the 3 point line for that 3 to easy. That's my point. He didn't defend well on that last possession.

I'll give you that but - even though there's zero guarantee he makes both the free throws, do you risk Hedo fouling out on a ticky-tack that the refs WOULD call?

I would put him at the line but I agree losing Hedo in overtime is big but your alternative is to lose with the 3 pointer. Breen always go on about this type of strategy but I have to put a guy like Lebron at the line where he isn't clutch to make those free throws. Ray Allen no, maybe not even Kobe but Lebron would have to earn it at the line for me. The only risk you really run is a foul before the inbounds. Is the rule still 2 shots and possession? I would have to muscle up on Lebron if I was coaching and let the refs make the call. Hold that jersey next time Hedo.

amazing shot by Lebron, but come on, can the media calm down a little bit before crowning that shot at the greatest shot that ever was? i mean come on, he hasn't won anything yet... Ray Allen was sinking clutch shot after clutch shot in the Bulls series i didn't hear all this broo-ha-ha over it... even Lebron was worshipping that shot in the post-game press conference... i don't think u'd ever hear MJ doing that, or even Kobe, & both those guys have hit huge shots every bit as clutch as that on their way to winning championships... Lebron is the man but my gosh, the media is sucking on his nads a little too much for my liking.

Lebron showing us why Kobe is still the best player in the game.

He ain't got no Mariano Rivera in him.

Turk should have just jumped straight up in the air with his hands up. With 1.0 seconds left there wouldn't have been time for Lebron to react to that.

lol... they're calling this "The Shot" now on ESPN... a game 2 winning shot is "The Shot"... if Derek Fisher or Hedo makes that shot it might make the top 3 on their webgems.

Carmelo's shot when he should have been fouled twice is arguably better this yr.

What makes this shot so hype up is that nobody thought that they were going to actually win this game once Turk made his.

i think what hypes the shot so much is because it was Lebron making it... they so desperately wanna raise this guy up to legendary status already it's not even funny... why don't they just let this guy prove he can take his teams to win championships before they put him in the same class as someone like MJ? he's a great player w/tremendous alltime talent but he hasn't proven himself in that capacity yet... i can't even count how many huge shots like this MJ hit against teams over his career & i never once heard him gushing about it the way Lebron did at his post game press conference... i think the incessant butt kissing is starting to get to his head a bit.

Wow, Lebron is still talking up the shot. If Kobe would have gone and gone about his performance everybody would be killing him.

Garretson is such a horrible ref. Doesn't call blantant fouls but calls the touch fouls. This crew is horrible.

I feel like lebrons physical grinding style of play will not benefit his career in the long term. His body will begin to break down, he needs a little more finesse and less of the linebacker mentality he has shown in this series. I am all for taking it to the rim but his body is taking a pounding. Also, the lowering of the shoulder is clearly a foul and he gets away with murder. The cavs are still all lebron so I don't see them winning I all, maybe that will help get him out of there.

what's amazing is how far ariza has come with that 3 point shot. he could be a new age bruce bowen.

but what's even more amazing is that he probably would've been traded by d'alsh before the season started for a 2nd rounder.
