It helps us tremendously because our team just gutted out a tough road win when it could have folded instead. The team's confidence is a hell of a lot higher right now than it would have been had we lost this game. Believe me, this win gives this team a big boast in confidence and that can translate into them playing better.

Gasol was missing. We would have been blown out. I'm not going to sweep this under the rug! These Knicks don't look good at all. They just barely got past some teenagers.

We also could have lost this game which would have killed any confidence this team had. It could have been a lot worse.

Was it a pretty win? Not, not at all. No one is saying that it was a pretty win or anything. However, this team showed something by hanging in there and gutting out a win. They didn't quit. Don't forget, we aren't that old of a team either. Look at the players that were playing at the end. We had our 3 first rounders from last year in there and Mardy was also in there at one point.

I think you are really underestimating what a road win does for a team's confidence. We needed to win this game and they got the job done even if it was ugly as hell. That is huge because a loss would have really killed us.
"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

It was embarrasing enough to have a 19 point lead dwindle down to nothing, and an insult to have to go into OT, but 3' OT's? Forget it!

calm down, i can only imagine, what you would be spewing if the knicks lost
They were one point away from living up to what I'm saying, but I'll calm down for you man. I don't want to be totally negative about it. I'm just saying we need a lot' of work to do here yet! LOL
I'll never trust this' team again.

I also have to say that I think the officials need to get better at recognizing flops. Some of the offensive fouls called against us were terrible.

Curry, Lee, Q are incredible! Frye is awful. Francis will come around although he and Marbury will foul out a lot. Man if we can just make those two disappear and package Crawford along with them and start Curry, Lee, Jeffries, Q & Nate WOW!!!!!

i agree with u, we do need alot of work, but this is only game 1 out of 82....as long as i see progression, effort and hard working players dedicated to winning by doing whatever it takes i will be satisfied..

i was impressed by their will to fight, never did the team just lay down and let the other guys walk over them, wins like this build character, hopefully it starts something we need inorder to get back on the right track

When a player flops too much, you land on his groin area with your knee. That would teach them not to flop anymore. And the foul would be earned.

HAHA!!! Implement the drill, Zeke... but seriously, am I wrong? Or did the refs reward a lot of flops?

Man' you make it sound like Crawford is some kind of evil person or something. After all he's done for us, he's allowed to have one f-ck up! Maybe two at the most.

This was just like the last preseason game against the Net, they got back into the game and started chucking from everywhere. Frye was very frustrated he is working hard setting screen and wasn't getting the ball the guards have to get the ball in the bigmen's hand against a team with noone in the middle. Crawford had the nerve to say it wasn't bad shot but it seemed like there was a lid on the rim. Starks playoff game flashback.

There were probably more flops than legit fouls. Those GD fluppers!

No I like Crawford. its just that we gotta give the other team something of value for taking Francis off our hands. Sorry I wasn't more specific

Crawford reminds me of starks in that hes streaky. When hes off we have to go to someone else, just like riley should have went to someone else in game 7 1994

Well, Game 1 is in the books. One down, 81 to go.

They can't all go 3OT, right?

Q looked damn good out there tonight. If only they would have kept going strong in the last 6 minutes of the 4th... Hey, a win is a win- I'll take it.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Never went to a game and had a hangover after the game ended. I am very happy with a win, JC, Francis and Channing werent very good and we still got a victory. Eddy was really good and just ran out of gas. Any road win is great, and I still think we are going to be much better when Jefferies gets back and we can be better defensively. My boy Lee made some retarded plays but he also made some big plays so good night from Memphis
