Giants D is also missing key guys in the secondary. We're doing OK with the circumstances.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

just looking at our schedule, the G-Men seriously need to not let down & win the next 3 games cuz they got a horrifically tough schedule starting week 6 vs. the most potent offensive team in football right now in New Orleans... Drew Brees is playing outta his mind so far this year... the teams left after that are all tough teams too w/the possible exception of Carolina & they always seem to play us tough whenever we play them.

OK. Flozell Adams definitely doesn't strike me as a very intelligent person right now. He says these comments and he can't seem to adjust to playing without making penalties.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4498060

Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Flozell Adams was fined $12,500 by the NFL on Wednesday for two fouls.

The fine was first reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The first foul happened when Adams stuck out his leg and tripped Giants Pro Bowl defensive end Justin Tuck in the first half of Sunday night's game, causing Tuck to suffer an injury to his left shoulder. It knocked him out of the nationally televised contest.

Adams was penalized for tripping on the play, but that didn't stop Tuck from calling the kick a "bush" move.

"It's something he always does and he gets away with it and he continues to do it," Tuck said.

The second foul happened in the fourth quarter when Adams kicked Giants lineman Osi Umenyiora.

Adams said earlier this week that he didn't think he caused Tuck's injury.

"A shoulder injury?" Adams said. "From a supposed kick? Tell him to stay up. It ain't my fault."

On Wednesday, Tuck got his turn to respond.

"Normally, people go to the Pro Bowl for blocking people, not tripping people. So maybe he should keep his feet on the ground," Tuck said. "We're not going to get into a war of words here, we are going to let it be what it is, and I'll see Flozell when we play them again."

The rematch is Dec. 6 at Giants Stadium.

Adams has been fined two straight games. He was fined $5,000 for an unnecessary roughness penalty against Tampa Bay in the opener, which Adams said he wants to appeal.

Flozell had to say something like that because otherwise he looks like a bitch. I suppose he'd rather look like an idiot

Kenny Phillips’ season is over. And it may be worse than that.

The Giants today said he’s been diagnosed with patellofemoral arthritis in his left knee. Not only is that enough to put him on injured reserve. It is, according to a noted orthopedist (who it should be noted has not examined Phillips or his MRI results), a career-threatening condition.

“I would have rather them said he tore his ACL and his MCL,” said Dr. Craig Levitz. “That’s a much better injury to have. We can fix that. If he tore his meniscus, we can fix that. Even if he tore his knee ligaments, we can fix those. It’s just a matter of how good he rehabs whether he gets back.

“Arthritis, we cant fix that,” he said.

Wow, this is terrible news for us and for the kid. I hope he will recover from this injury and he able to play again.

As for us, we can fill in that hole but how many holes are we going to have to fill in? Tuck went down, Canty went down, Ross went down. We're having some tough luck right now with injuries. I just hope this team can remain strong. It's about making the playoffs. Once we get there, anything can happen (ala 2007 New York Giants).
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

tough break for the kid... hopefully he can make a comeback... our secondary's looking mighty thin right now... good thing we're facing the easy teams on the schedule for the next 3 weeks.

The problem with losing Kenny Phillips is that safety was the thinnest position on the roster. Trust me, the drop off from Kenny Phillips to CC Brown will be steep. This guy is set to ruin the good name CC. While there are better players on the team, this will be the toughest loss to take outside of losing Eli Manning, David Diehl or Chris Snee b/c they drop off will be extremely steep to his backup.

what's the story on Aaron Ross? if he can come back & Kevin Dockery's good to go we can probably make due.

He underwent the same procedure on his hamstring that Canty did. I think he's still gonna need another week or two. Dockery hasn't practiced at all this week and he's probably out again too.

I've had enough of this offense not scoring points because of ****ty playcalling. Fire Gilbride.
