This the part of the season Steph gets hurt and question over use?
Stars need be stars but 33 year old slight build guys get hurt. Love the guy. Hope he can finish at this level.
He has 3 chips and 2 MVPs. NOthong but admiration and respect. he needs a new challenge though. His legacy is solid and he is adored in GSW.
He is a free agent. He needs Broadway and Broadway needs him!

Ha! Bring it. He was supposed to be here all along but in the 2009 draft we got Jordan Hill instead. So is it his destiny? Of course the money is in staying with the Warriors. And if the Knicks maxed him it would not be money ball. But if you're going to throw the dice....

Meanwhile, as the Knicks game transitioned to Heat/Nets, Durant out again with a thigh contusion. Nets fans are going to be insufferable when they get to use the injury card to explain their first round exit all summer.

I'm beginning to think Kevin Durant is made of tissue paper.

Well there is other good news. Kings spanked the Mavs on their home court. Dallas currently in 7th slot. A sinking ship and a play in and who knows about their pick....

If they lose to Memphis in play which is very possible considering Jaren Jackson is going to be back soon, then they likely play GSW, which is a 50-50 game imo.

I watched the entire 4th quarter of the Mavs/Kings game. Luka is an unbelievably talented offensive player. He's very crafty with the ball, can get to any spot on the court as well as score from any spot, is as strong as an ox and has a super soft touch. He scored about 23 pts ( I lost count) in the 4th and was unstoppable. With that said, at one point, he took 10 shots in a row, broken up by a kick-out to Finney, for a corner 3, then Luka processed to take the next 5 or 6 while his teammates stood around on the perimeter watching Luka go to work. The problem was on the other end. Despite Luka going nuts, the lead never seemed to decrease, in fact the Kings lead seemed to increase as Fox put on a show of his own in the 4th. He nearly matched Luka basket for basket. The defensive end will be the Mavs undoing...

While Luka was putting on a one-man-show, I was watching his teammates and the body language wasn't good at all. Hardaway was clearly upset when he was subbed-out of the game at the 4 minute mark. KP's body language was terrible. When the buzzer sounded, he and Hardaway couldn't wait to get off the court, while Luka walked towards the Kings bench to hug Fox and a few other players. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think some of the players, namely, KP and Hardaway aren't fans of iso-Luka. From the 6 minute mark, to the final buzzer, it felt like Luka took every single shot. To his credit, he made most of them, but it was interesting to watch.

The way KP and Hardaway were bricking shots in that 3rd Q I wouldn’t throw them the ball either. The more concerning thing to me is how nobody on that team, especially KP, plays defense. When KP dosent get shots on offense or he misses, his effort completely changes. No way he would have survived a season with Thibs.

Fox really impressed me. If he can figure out a way to get a jump shot he could end up being a top 5-10 player in this league easy.

Interesting observation. I too think that at times there is a real resentment that Luka seems to receive. You would think that his team mates would really appreciate him carrying them ( particular reference to KP ). There’s no I in team, but a capital E in envy it seems.

Watch the video of Luka's miracle game winner against Memphis a few days ago. KP walks away from all the teammates hugging Luka. On the other hand he was wide open for a dish for a three and Luka took the stumbling shot instead. However you slice it, any Mavs drama is welcomed by Knicks fans' hopes for that Dallas pick.

Watching Luka is a bit like watching playoffs Lebron - you really need to have a roster that buys into the fact that literally everything on that team revolves around that 1 player. You kind of need journeymen who've accepted that their time for $10m/yr contracts is over or really young players who want a role. The problem teammates are the young stars age 23-29 who believe they have what it takes to be all-stars and can still earn the big contracts. (You're not going to get paid like a superstar if you're busy being a role player!)

I'm hoping for bad blood on the Mavs, mostly to punish KP. He'll have completed his penance and will become one of my fave players IF the Mavs get bumped to the lottery this season - and we get their pick. :) At which point, I'll buy a Porzingis jersey and cheer him on whenever he's in town.
