Republicans are talking about a 20% border tax on all imports and 0% on all exports..Interesting..Worth studying..Does it mean more job creation at home??..Our prices on imports now cost 20% higher which will come out of consumer pockets..it will raise revenues of up to 1 trillion over ten years..It helps pay for the tax cut for business the Republicans have proposed...

Why does everything they do seem to funnel money to the rich and never help the middle class or the poor...Worth a study tho...

No one knows it Trump will endorse it...

That's why they use bigotry, prejudice and fear to get people to vote for them even though it's against their own interests. And they fall for it every damn time

China responds to Tillerson's on the South China Seas...

http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/13/politics/us-tillerson-china-reaction/

The Global Times, a provocative but state-sanctioned tabloid, said that "unless Washington plans to wage a large-scale war in the South China Sea, any other approaches to prevent Chinese access to the islands will be foolish."

"Tillerson had better bone up on nuclear power strategies if he wants to force a big nuclear power to withdraw from its own territories," the unbylined opinion piece said on the paper's English-language site.
It concluded that Tillerson's statements were "far from professional."
"If Trump's diplomatic team shapes future Sino-US ties as it is doing now, the two sides had better prepare for a military clash."
The paper is published by the People's Daily -- the ruling Communist Party's mouthpiece. It's known for its hawkish and colorfully-worded editorials but analysts say it doesn't necessarily reflect Chinese policy.

We need "Jinah" and "Jinah" needs us.
If this Cheeto wants to bang it out over the artificial Islands he can keep my boy out of it. We fought the Japanese to keep them from expansion into "Jinah" and now the Sociopath wants to go toe to toe with them to keep them from Japan?

YES! They do fall for it every single time but mostly after there is some kind of major shift in Social Order. This backlash happened after the Civil War when during Reconstruction we saw the 1st Black Politicians Elected throughout the South. Then we got Jim Crow. After the Civil Rights Victories of the 60's we saw a backlash and that got us Nixon. After Clinton we got BUSH which was a disaster. Now after Obama we get Trump.

The key to stopping it is not just law enforcement but also investment in these areas that have been neglected. Let's not forget that Redlining created these isolated inner city Ghettos. Squeezing African Americans into certain neighborhoods and then neglecting them because it's easier to do that than if AA's are living in mixed neighborhoods. This type of thing has been going on for a VERY long time.

The sheeple has been primed for maximum fleecing.

The dumdums with 7th grade math skills will get their $1000 tax break split out over 12 months and potential double digit inflation on the horizon, that renders their buying power even more impotent than it used to be. Welcome to buying even less with MORE money.

And some of them will probably lose their jobs as well, and when they do they won't be able to buy health insurance because they voted to get it repealed.

To bring more understanding of Russian mentality here some exempt of famous Russian philosopher Nikolai Berdjaev:
Freedom is the right for inequality.
Equality (not in the formal law judicial meaning) and freedom are not compatible.
By nature people are not equal.
Equality can be achieved only by violence.
And this equality will be always enforced by lover level.
To equate reach with pure you need to take wealth from rich.
To equate weak with strong you need to take power from strong.
To equate stupid with smart you need to devalue intelligence into shortcoming.
Society of total equality is society based on violent domination of pure, weak, and stupid.

This country's philosophy is that being equal before the law is not to bring someone down! It's simply to not OPPRESS any given individual or group simply for trying to pursue happiness. That sometimes means making sure the powerful can't oppress the rights of the less powerful. No one should be above the law.

We're not Klingons, where might makes right. 😬

Yes America is different and that's why we are so successful at home.
But to be successful in international politics we have to understand how other big nations are thinking.
And most of the world does not know another way to equality but violence.
And after many took this pass they end up... well with another powerful, wealthy, a smart getting more and more above equal.
And here they go again... and again... in circles of revolutions and Civil wars.
As almost all Americans are emigrants they bring this primitive culture with them to America and it takes a long time, sometimes generations, to get read of "slave/master" mentality in their heads. So WE, who possess the knowledge of social success through rule of law, opportunity, and freedom above equality need to be vigilant.

Americans get ripped off in pharmaceuticals, ripped off in insurance, ripped off in wages, and basically ripped off as a consumer for any product out. But people struggle because "they are lazy & entitled".

http://www.alternet.org/corporate-accountability-and-workplace/corporate-betrayal-america-ripping-public-running-profits

Belittling Us Instead Of Paying Us Back

Instead of paying for their decades of government-supported growth, corporations have nearly stopped paying taxes, leaving payroll deductions and individual income taxes as the main sources of federal revenue.

From 2003 to 2011 total corporate profits more than doubled from $900 billion to almost $2 trillion, but the corporate income tax rate dropped by more than half, from 22.5% to 10%.

On top of this, the most profitable corporations get the biggest subsidies. The Federal Reserve provided more than $16 trillion in welfare assistance to financial institutions and corporations. According to U.S. PIRG and Citizens for Tax Justice, 280 top-earning Fortune 500 companies, which together paid only half of the maximum 35 percent corporate tax rate, received $223 billion in tax subsidies.

What have they been doing with their windfall profits? Anywhere from $2.2 trillion to$3.4 trillion in cash is being held by non-financial corporations, who have chosen to fatten stockholders rather than invest in new production facilities and the employees needed to make them functional. Worse yet, as reported by The Nation, Market Watch, and Business Insider, they've been steadily cutting jobs in order to 'streamline' their operations.

For the employees who remain, average real wages were $17.42 in 2007, down from $19.34 in 1972 (based on 2007 dollars). Wages as a percentage of the economy are at an all-time low.

An Added Insult -- Profits Declared Overseas, But Not in the U.S.

Multinational corporations use the vacuous argument of an excessive U.S. tax rate to defend their tax avoidance, although in reality the U.S. has the third-lowest rate of tax revenue per GDP among all OECD countries.

The biggest tax avoiders are not content to just shirk their tax responsibilities. To sustain the image of profitmaking for their investors, many of them claim hefty worldwide incomes while reporting little or no income in the United States. Pfizer, for example, just declared their fifth straight annual loss in the U.S., despite a five-year income total of over $50 billion.

A review of SEC data reveals more chicanery. In the last two years Citigroup reported $27.8 billion in foreign income, but a $5 billion loss in the United States. Exxon credits the U.S. for 1/3 of its revenue and 40% of its assets, but only 15% of its income. Apple has 2/3 of its employees in the U.S. but claims only 1/3 of its profits as U.S. income.

100% absolute devicive

whatever Russian influence had in this election( which I doubt was much) absolutely paired in comparisons to Hollywood aggressive direct attempt to sway the election on a daily powerful way-- not even close. It was disgusting obvious and IMHO an abuse of the media. I find it disgusting that people can't be on the same team once everything has come yo a fair and democratic solution. I haven't seen such crybabies true soft people in my life. I fail to see where Trump committed such horrible acts or that he has spewed a majority of Americans in a negative light. We can't do the mature thing and let him have a chance-- no we need to be vindictive and righteous . Give it a break you wannabes you really are starting to make me want to vomit

No actually the world will survive this. It will be more polluted, more toxic, more filled with hate 4 years from now. Your pompous puffed up orange blob ain't got nothin on the world. Prices of everything is going to go up. because of taxes on imports and ironically those same tax cuts you voted for. Unless your income ranks you in the top 5%, making ends meet just got a whole lot harder. This new government will NOT repeal entitlement programs, they WILL replace them with entitlements for the 1%. You voted for socialism for the rich and capitalism for the rest of us. Good luck, hope you enjoy the benefits.
