I been saying since they started it that the Knicks bringing the old guys back is one of my fav things. I had no idea they still pay some of these guys. I know the big guy like Pat and Starks because they are still part of the team but the other guys. Look Dolan has major issues and I was on him for that trump crap he pulled but he has some really good qualities and people just seem to ignore them. I might have said it before but being really invested in another WNBA team with a cheap owner made me understand just how good we have it as Knicks fan. No wonder all the former Knicks love him outside of Oak.

Dolan has done a lot of stupid **** in his ownership tenure but embracing the "legends" has been great for the fans. Lets be real,, not all are true legends. Tim "Fugazy" Thomas gets to hang. Bernard King had a great albeit breif run and treated like an all tim egreat. Seen at the finals also was Spencer Haywood! His HOF cred is not as a knick but he gets to hang.
As awful as Dolan can be, he made nice with Latrell perhaps proving he can rise to an occasion.

The Oak thing? I think I read he'd meet him half way? I can only think his motivation would be for the fans to enjoy.

Kudo's to JR smith for maturing and recently getting a college degree at HBC North Carolina A&T up in Greensboro, NC.
Recall he was set to play at UNC Chapel Hill but went from HS to NBA. His Bone Head antics and Vehicular Manslaughter issues were awful things. His best friend died in a car accident when he did something really stupid driving his car.
JR was not the sharpest crayon in the box but his talent cannot be denied!

Don really looked burnt out and washed when we fired him in 1996. Then he comes back a few years later with the mavs and develops Dirk and Nash. One of the all time greats.

Was only 55 when Knicks fired him. Ewing was about to be Free agent and wanted out because Knicks wanted to run and he could not.
Knicks could not figure out a trade in time to get Shaq for Ewing. Shaq instead left ORL and got nothing in return. Rumor was Shaq wanted LA as he aspired to be an actor and was big into the music thing then so perhaps we make the deal and get left with no ewing or Shaq?
Ewing wanted to be paid and to do so could not be part of a fast pace schematic. Dolan was scared of losing his star attraction. Ewing wanted JVG. Ewing got what he wanted.
