We knew at points during this season Thibs had the starters play the most time in the NBA and was the worst defending group in NBA history. Breaking it down to smaller groups and it seems like Thibs went out of his way to play the worst possible lineups all year and then get pissed at the fans for calling out his terrible rotations.

Time Lord is down for the Celtic- out with a torn meniscus. Must be tough for Celtics fans, their team has had the most unexpected resurgence the last few months, they've been obliterating everyone. Wonder if they unravel defensively now he's out?

And Lebron out with ankle injury? With Fakers only 1 game up for the play in and AD out? And no picks in the draft this year -- no pick owned outright until 2026.

The Lakers have 3 max players, 5 HOFs... and have a worse record than the Knicks.

Thibs has zero starting level PGs, not much of a C rotation for most of the season, and has his team playing better than the Lakers. Take that for data

I believe the Lakers would be in a much better position today if they handed the keys to Westbrook from day 1. Let him eat and have Bron and AD play off of him.

Did Thibs help forge him into a better player over all? I seem to remember Thibs believing in him and galvanized his skills until he was ready? DO you emphasize that he wanted Jimmy in Minny and Jimmy wanted to be there or that Jimmy wanted to leave?
Thibs is no doubt historically over enthusiastic about coaching and over does it. Players and coaches have a certain time they can be together. Larry Brown understood he was a dick and moved on. He got results until he got with Isiah. Two of them were awful.

“Thibs did not play Jimmy Butler his rookie year”. The assumption is in hindsight if he played him sooner he’d have been an allstar sooner. Thats fine, but not all rookies that don’t play become allstars do they? Back story is why did he not get minutes and what did he have to do/prove/improve on to get those minutes? cherry picking some but not others is not a full spectrum.

Our last two coaches are polar opposites. Fiz played the kids as he had little to play with otherwise and I think we were in a bit of a tank mode AFTER KP did not return. He played Frank and Knox. It did not move the dial. It happens. Not all players respond the same. I reapeat, not all players respond the same. Then how does one know? Hindsight.

Its amazing to see that Deuce can light up the Gleague but does not come close in the NBA yet. I know Clyde is in all our heads with his comments but CLyde is not entirely correct in his statements. He is doing hindsight commentary and thus asks the same questions but it fuels “SO, PLAY DEUCE MORE THEN!!!!”. Very subliminal what he does. Clyde was my favorite knick like ever but he is not always correct. He is subjective and those opinions are open. Its cool, so are yours and mine.

Duece is playing adnd contributing. Well, he is. At this juncture Clean and Thibs are aligned. LOL!!!!!

Is he ready to drive the team or need he ease into it? Chicken or the egg. We’ll see. Im hoping Johnny Bryan secret sauce is working.

As for Jimmy? Three seasons might be his limit with Spo? Jimmy is very head strong and Spo has tenure with Heat. I wonder if their plan is for him to contiue or move up to team president like Riley did if and when Riles is ready to kick back. Brad Stevens in Celtics did this.

I have heard writers who I respect think maybe Westbrook would be good fit for knicks next year. I cringe but short sample I get the point. He is built for NYC and its ok for him to be the man. He did not know how to compliment AD and Lebron.

As for Lakers, media forgets whey won a chip with this team. They did sell their soul with this starphuch and got one. Starphuch chip, especially in the bubble seems diluted to fan base that had 16 chips prior.
