Lenny is to blame for TT's poor showing....He did a horrible job at getting this boy going...ONe, he knew that he had some family issues that he needed to deal with, he should have given him the time needed to get his head right...two, Lenny spent a lot of time setting up the guards (Marb, Crawf, HOuston), and failed to find ways to improve the play of the bigs (TT, Sweet, Nazr, Kurt). Herb is different, he played as a center in the league and pretty much in tune with how to get the big boys going....He preaches defense all the time and let the offense come naturally....He has instilled the inside out game which favors TT and the other bigs, and as a result we are looking a lot more like a Pro team....

Tim Thomas was playing great for stretches late last year too. He's always been one to flash. That's why he's frustrating. The key is getting his post up game working. He was off early in the year and we went away from it completely. When he was going well last year he posted a lot too...

Dido.. stop blaming Lenny for TT. Its stupid. Lenny did everything for him short of wiping his ass for him. I remember them calling play after play for TT, especially early to get him going.

Tim is a loafer and thats his MO. When things are going his way he's awesome because the effort comes through. If they arent going his way he quits and loafs... bottom line.

My only beef with Tim is he has to carry it through to the playoffs. A .500 record will get us in. We are 3.5 games out. Its possible, but it will take a winning streak and we havent had one all year more than 3-4 games. It doesnt really matter because I would rather have a good draft pick than get abused by the Heat or Pistons in the first round anyway, but who knows... maybe Shaq chokes on a whopper and we pull and upset.

If Tim doesnt keep up this level of play and get us into the post season its pointless. All he's done is killed our chances at franchise talent in this draft. One more year of this hoser anyway.

Fish! I agree and disagree with you on this subject...How can you expect anyone to do well when going through family issues??? not too many players in this league can do that...Yes, Lenny tried to get him going, but it would have been the best remedy to allow him timeoff to get his head where it needed to be....Lenny gaveup on the dude, because he was pressured to win...I understand all of that, but bottom line is that under his tenure we were horrendous defensively...you can't definitely blame that on TT....Why is it that we are better now defensively? the answer is simple, Herb....His scheme is followed to the letter by his players...He let it be known that he was going to commit to it...It is just like the Mavs, they were an offensive jugglenut, but now under the new coach, they emphacize a lot more on defense..and you can tell that they are a much better squad....different philosophy...

you're argument works if you isolate this season. but this has been tim's story his entire career.

hot and cold. agressive and passive. there's no difference in him as a player this year than any previous years.
