i don't think i've seen him travel yet this year. He has a tendency to not finish but instead go to the line and sink 2 FT's which works just as well

Sorry, I keep forgetting most you guys only watched like 5 games all year. I've seen every game.

Stats may assist you:
He averages 1.54 turnovers a game (makes him 4th on the team behind crawford-2.46, marbury-3.19 and TT-1.67)

Unfortunately, he averages only 16.4 minutes a game.

It's his second year...snap out of it and think about who is actually a better start...Kurt Thomas or Sweetney? JYD or Sweetney?

I know you love him, but he's just not that good yet.

For comparison, Ariza averages .81 turnovers in 13.7 minutes.

Sorry to burst the bubble...but we gotta start thinking about real life with the midway point on the way.

I have seen all but 5 games, but I heard those on the radio. Sweets does get called for the travel often. He also fouls waaay too much. He is definitely developing into a threat in the post though. He is going to be a real problem down low soon. He has got to stop the turnovers and fouls though.

I don't think the turnovers is what's keeping Lenny from playing him. It's either trying to increase KT's trade value or Lenny trying to save his job by playing the vet

the win against orlando was magic for new york. what a display of fire power! its almost like knicks were trading places with dallas. btw, ny shot a mind boggling 61% at the half and finished the win with something like 53%. starbury was on fire....nice win and nice team effort. can we get a string of victories to compliment?

I don't think he is ready yet, but he could start later on this season and if NY traded KT, he would have to be the starter, at least for throwing him to the fire and learn his future position. Sometimes Sweet is taken out because of defense, and others its because he gets into foul trouble. If he at least works on the latter, he will play more time and learn to play a better defense...

What a way for New Jersey to start their Carter era: a loss to Detroit and an injury to Vince Carter. They keep sinking and who knows how long will Carter be able to play for them this season...

what a serious coaching blunder playing Carter so many minutes in his first game back from a leg injury. He played him for 40min! of course his hamstring is going to tear!....let me go see what those bandwagon Nets fans are saying now.

Yep, the coach forgott that Vince was returning from an injury? How could he play him for so many minutes considering how important is Vince to that team! In the end, no win and no Carter, for who knows when...
