If you look at it rationally, we had three bad quarters.

We started throwing lobs to to him when Clarkson got back in the rotation. Clarkson was looking for Mitch everytime. Deuce had difficulty throwing a lobo before. This is deuce first in. A long time throwing a lob to Mitch

Great game by JB. Truly one of the best scorers around.
It is crazy how he took more shots than KAT,OG and Bridges combined.
But no complaints here since it lead to a complete beat down of the Hawks.
Hopefully other Knicks will have it going when teams make it a goal to take him out of the offense.

Yeah no complaints for sure. I wonder if this does speak to an upside of the Knicks that is still untapped.

KAT had another 2-3 big blocks this game, his defensive turnaround has bee the most amazing thing for me.

we have clearly been the better team outside of a few bad quarters.

Brunson once again the leading scorer in a playoff series on either team. 28.2ppg 46/42/80 shooting. His greatness is so routine that it's almost jarring when he's not so great.

Night and day from last year.

Not for nothing but I'd bet the main goal of the season in terms of which player the coaching staff would spend the most time integrating into their plan would be getting the best version of KAT going. This was the #1 task for Brown and staff, with everything else either already well established or known and just fitting them around him while doing the best things for them too.

Last night was the goal and now they have to figure out how to maintain it with all the best teams planning and playing against them. Don't want to get ahead but Mazzula got a lot more tools to try.

Still debating in my mind but think Mikal has us pointing in direction of Liz Hurley.

Can we split the difference and go with women who are only considered BBWs under Hollywood standards?

Thank god we got a W with ALL these lovely ladies contributing.

- Kat simply brilliant again
- same for OG (amazing how he dunks, from flat footed with guys hanging on him and thus far snuffing out J-Johnson)
- Brunson D is truly NON-EXISTENT
- Mikal right now takes the GOOD out of good basketball player (rarely have I seen a quality NBA player shrink to such an extent)
- great nights from Mitch, Jose and again Clarkson playing reasonable
- Josh I did not notice as much as last night

With the big lead it felt like this game went on for 4 hours and clock would just not run out -- kept waiting for that magical Hawk run where Kispert hits 12 3's in a row to beat us.

We REALLY REALLY need to close this out on Thursday -- don't let this get to a game 7 you knuckleheads.

With Kat on both ends it's ALWAYS been about does he want to do it and is he going to bring the required effort/mindset.

He's a highly intelligent player on both ends --- his deficiencies IMO are really whether he cares to apply himself on a given night.

He's played as well as ANY center in the league since post trade deadline even while often being an afterthought on offensive end.

One last point -- this dude gobbles up more IN TRAFFIC rebounds than anyone in the league. ELITE HANDS and strength.

Oh - forgot - JB pretty good on offense.

Yes, I think this is important. Team went through some early adversity to start playoffs. Now guys are making those playoff adjustments, sharpening their sets, coaches tinkering with rotations and play calling.

I'd rather face that early vs. Atlanta than later on vs. Celtics, assuming [both teams] advance.

Reminds me of the Philly series a couple years ago. Brunson was looking pretty ragged those first couple games before flipping the switch.

I think we do need to avoid coming out in game 6 and Jalen trying to get 20 in 1st quarter.

Just want to say --- Mikal is perfect 12th option on offense -- PERFECT.

He had one strong drive to the basket that left me hollering. Why is he not doing more of that?

night and day from even a couple of months ago really. We are best when KAT is looking to facilitate and defend. he went through such a horrid stretch where he was just trying to barrel into defenders and score every time AND not defending. I had lost almost all hope with him.

Interesting to see Shamet relegated to the bench after being such a big piece all season. He shoots at an elite level, defends and can handle the ball, don't understand why he's not getting ANY minutes.

Maybe the next series will provide more op for him.

Total dominance from start to finish! Atlanta never even made a run to get it close! Great job from everyone!

It was only a matter of time before Playoff Brunson made his debut this postseason. He was vintage in that 4th quarter and some of those moves were just nasty! Especially that cross over and up and under move on Johnson. OG was great again. If he has the ball near the basket, he is going to dunk it! And his corner three is automatic! This game went to show you we don't necessarily need KAT to take a lot of shots but he needs touches. KAT was outstanding! Very impressed and hyped by his defense (2 steals, 2 blocks)!

Bench was great! Mitch had some nasty dunks and GTA5 had a stretch there where he hit back to back shots and played suffocating defense! The team defense holding them to 98 points (96 points in game 4) was as good as it's been this season. McCollum had no room and always had two bodies in his space.

I expected this to be a long series and originally predicted Knicks in 7 but I feel good about ending it 6. I think we have them figured out. They cannot handle our defense or battle on the glass. We outrebounded them 48-27! They also have no answer for our halfcourt sets with KAT initiating the offense from the left wing.

I'd guess injury and just not getting his Stella groove going on.
