Actually I respectfully disagree, everything he did in this video is well within his normal repertoir and game. Hes been doing this since he was 16/17 on a pro level in Germany, Australia etc. For him the thing is confidence, playing time and chemistry with his PGs. Hes good, not 20/10 good but hes serviceable on an NBA level as a 2nd, 3rd big off the bench... his "problem" is that the Knicks have probably the best 1-2 punch a C with KAT and Mitch...

He has no interest in trying to finish plays or being active outside of being a screener. There’s going to be so many players available in the draft that give more than that at the center position. I’d keep him around as a 2-way guy but I’m probably not offering him a spot on the main roster. |

I think it was in a Vogue magazine article or something Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program

You were definitely reading that one for the articles. 🥱 Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

I liked him plenty before and felt his development had stalled, but he is making strides after all. He doesn't play enough in the rotation to properly evaluate him this season. |

They do lack for a few specific skill sets like ball handling and distribution and thus Mo, but they are definitely training decently as far as any of us can really tell. Piggybacking my response to you in the game thread, I think the FO has been really good at drafting overlooked talent and bringing them along. It seems they did replace Thibs with another coach in part to have deeper rotations this year to get extra playing time for the developing players. This is key for a FO that may need to move a max or near max player at some point and they want affordable depth in the pipeline for that reason among others. Diawara is a prime example. I strongly doubt he'd have gotten much opportunity under Thibs this year like Brown has given Mo. Small differences in management style accrue over time. Per Huk, he may be in the mix next year along with Mo and that would be due to the FO's vision for sure. Sometimes you have to give players time on the court to "get ready" so to speak and not just practice sessions and G League minutes. That means allowing for mistakes, but also giving them a taste of the speed of the NBA game so they can internalize that into their own maturation process. I think mostly Brown has done that in appropriate doses for a guy like Diawara even if I'm not particularly stoked about Kolek riding the bench for Jose at the moment. |
