Probably too late in the year for him to be a factor on the roster, but this is a great development for next year depth. Knicks will have 4 2nd year players in the mix for rotation spots - a very legit way to fill your roster out in a 2nd apron world.

His defensive chops is what sets the men from the boys. The coaches see it in practice and scrimmage. We get offensive highlights.
Some of you look off ball at switches and the movement that leads to a good play or a breakdown.
NBA speed and power blows away even the most heralded rookies. how fast they assimilate is the key.
How they get into rhythm offensively is how they are on defenseive. Think too much, it won't happen often. It gets instinctive,, then they assimilating to the game.
Thibs does not throw players on the court to do this. You are either proven in camp or career, or have to prove it under his watch. This is the way of the Thibian.

You never know with second round picks but the Knicks could possibly have had a very very good 2024 draft in terms of bench depth at super low cost.

I'd guess that Dadiet does not play much next year and will do the full GLeague thing again for at least the first half of year.

Kolek, Huk, and even McCullar have a chance to do something. Play their role and they will get some minutes.

Agree 100%. I'll reserve judgement on McCullar till I see him in a game, but I'm high on Kolek (especially as giving us a backup floor general we don't otherwise have) and I think Huk has great potential. I love how active he is and has a well rounded game with good touch. Look forward to seeing more from him.

I mean, McCullar was projected to be picked in the 20s before dropping based on the health report. Has 1st round upside.

You know I gonna spin wit it

As wing players, Dadiet and McCullar have so many guys to learn from. And for Kevin, it seems like health is the only thing holding him back. He should be ready by beginning of next year.

I think McCullar has a similar defensive upside as Grimes and while he's probably not as athletic, he has a bball IQ like Grimes on the offensive side. So he could be the kind of guy Thibs has no problem playing right away. I'm optimisitic. He was the most Thibsian player in the draft (not Ryan Dunn, who brought nothing to the table offensively).

I can see this, with a side of a skinnier, less strong version of Josh.

He will get minutes when he is healthy and in shape, no delay for him.

Just saw this. He probably didn't see a path here with Wright here. I think I would've preferred over Delon, but what are you gonna do? The game don't stop.

Who needs an Okeke?

TJ Warren broke the Westchester Knicks’ scoring record with 47 points on 14-23 FG, 7-13 3PT…

This is an NBA-caliber player who has not complained publicly once this season about being on G-League assignment and just continues to work and lead by example

Forgot about this. This alone is enough to sign TJ.

If they don’t shut him down we will lose him too. Perfect player off the bench of a championship roster. For days when cam and deuce don’t have it.

Those days are becoming more of a common occurrence than I'd like. Deuce is clearly off physically and is being counted on to guard guys who overwhelm him physically. Cam is who he is.

Teams are stealing all of our G-League players. They're doing a good job in Westchester.

FROM SHAMS:

The Charlotte Hornets are signing guard Damion Baugh to a two-way NBA contract out of G League's Westchester Knicks, sources tell ESPN. Baugh has averaged nearly 13 points and 10 assists in G League.

I think he dropped so low because there had to be fear that he had a chronic injury. This thing has been lingering for a long time.

Still a worthwhile gamble for us, but clearly he has no shot of helping this year.

Yeah, the fact that we haven't heard anything about this latest injury is bad. Never expected anything from him this year, but I hoping he'd get some traction next year. At least they have a second rounder this year. Or maybe Hugo or Rokas come over and Dadiet takes a leap. 🤷
