Hypothetically what team can offer him more playing time then the Knicks at this point ? Knicks have the Bi Annual left, and a back up spot for 12 minutes if he earns the spot at that rate. Does he sign for the min and gets just the same amount of minutes ? At this point he is not anymore then a back up for 15 mins a game. I think if we want him he would sign

I don't think Bertans in an NBA player. The problem with Bertans is Bertans sucks

I think Bertans is an NBA player. A mediocre one who won't likely get big minutes because he's too specialized, but a player nonetheless. But he's worse than Fournier. There's no way Thibs would play him and he's pretty much in the same situation as Fournier contract wise. I don't see the Knicks moving Fournier just to repeat things with Bertans.

The good thing about him is his specialization might be something that actually got used in NY if he played. He has a pure stroke. If you are going to play 13 mins a night, often go multiple possession w/o a touch, and then be expected to fire and connect when you get a catch I think you have to be a purer shooter. I don't think he does anything else at an NBA level though. Maybe I'm too harsh on him IDK

The outside shot looks good. Video highlight he never misses!!!

Just the little flips off the backboard, the fact that it is more crafty getting to the rim than bulldozing in. Not used to the footwork/body control RJ is showing to get himself into position to get those shots off.

Just look at the highlights that have been posted of Jalen and RJ in FIBA side by side.

For seasons we have watched RJ just lower his head and barrel forward at the rim. He truly has been playing smarter and with his head up reacting to defenses. With him playing like this, maybe he and Julius can co exist within the offense and operating in the same area, if they look for one another. Think if both he and Julius are hitting the 3 and looking to lob to Mitch it will be dynamic. Fingers crossed

Am I mistaken or is the whole reason Fournier ended up in Thibs' doghouse is because he does not play defense?

Clearly the guy has some skills. His value unfortunately is nil due to being in the mutt mansion. The alternative however would have been a lesser Knicks team. Though you would think there are less defense-centric teams out there he could help.

Fournier can't guard a wing he is too slow. But maybe he can stay in front of a PF and have enough weight to body one ? Maybe a change in position for him, he is 6"7" just wondering if he can do it

If the backup PF is Davis Bertrand, or someone in that class of PF, then yes. Otherwise, no.

So it's a firm, sometimes, against some pfs. I'll take it 😄
