I think he's going to bounce off last year's lows and if he gets traded Knicks should get some value in return. Game changed now that we understand the role of statistics in sports better. https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_stats_per_game.html Look from 1996 through today. League wide eFG (not separated by position) has increased by about 60bps from about 470 to 530. At his prime, Kobe was hitting 50% eFG from the guard position mostly based on his ability to finish at the rim. If you are below .530 today, you are a bit below average. Average players will outscore you. You know I gonna spin wit it

And I hope we can see everyone improve, include Randle and RJ. |

There's more to it than just shooting. Defense, rebounding, passing are just as important- all areas where Randle is better than average. My main bone to pick is with the endless "trade Randle" crowd. It seems to me that the path towards contention runs through Randle. There's a pretty strOng correlation between not only Randle s shooting but also his team wins when playing with a PG averaging more than 4 assists a game. It just seems idiotic to me that we would trade Randle before first seeing how he and JB mesh on the court. |

I think he's going to bounce off last year's lows and if he gets traded Knicks should get some value in return. The key difference between trade Randle and keep Randle is whether he can be a more efficient player on offense - if he is willing. He is clearly able. What he currently does is not working. I’m his biggest advocate on defense. I don’t think there are many better PFs on defense. I do doubt whether he could accept being behind 2 or 3 other players on offense. At this point, trading doesn’t appear to be an option. So, we will see if he can do the other things while the ball is on Brunson’s hands. You know I gonna spin wit it

![]() My point was whenever he has shared the court with a league average PG he HAS been more efficient so I don't think it's all on him. We saw the same thing with Am are Melo and Chandler. They were very underwhelming until the Knicks had a Felton Priogoni and Kidd PG rotation.

I think he's going to bounce off last year's lows and if he gets traded Knicks should get some value in return. Not just shooting. Randle has to buy into being a more off ball player. Randle ISO for 4 quarters every night equals another year with no playoffs |

![]() I have zero faith in Randle. He's not going to magically change his habits and personality in his 9th season. He is who he is.
