I never took the rumors seriously, but...a great weight has been lifted.

Even with Harden, dont believe the Nets can beat LA if LeBron and Davis are healthy.
They added Harrell as well. Schroeder.

They look good. Only real question is how much Schroeder has matured as a playmaker. But you have to pick them going in.

LeBron has a talent for helping bring out the best in some players. Inspires them to elevate their game.Schroeder knows LeBron is one of the best PGs(PFs) to ever play the game. Wouldnt surprise me if Schroeder responds.

I am pleasantly surprised by the front office, they may not have executed a big splashy free agency haul but they stood their ground and didn't panic. Plus they are assembling a much more balance and exciting roster for next season. I would like them to get maybe 2 more sharpshooters to help with the spacing. Looking at the line up now, we have bullock, burks, quickley, harper. Another stretch 4, is there a Novak 2.0 available? Maybe Ilyasava and a high percentage shooting wing would be nice unless they see Iggy as that guy.

They have a chance to surprise this year, its actually not a bad line up. The point guard rotation is alittle bit underwhelming unless they are anticipating DSJ or Frank to step up that why the front office didnt go after a very good point guard. Maybe Payton is just a safety net. It was said during the delete 8 training camp that Frank is the penciled starter, im hoping that is still the case, there was no change in the point guard rotation since then.

Stretch 4 options: Dario Saric and Kaminsky- but they still have Randle might nit happen.
Shooting Wing : juan Hernangomez, austin river

Im excited for the season to start!

So glad the FO did not buckle to pressure and make mediocre moves. An FVV or Hayward is not pushing this team over the top. We need to build and grow.

I figure RJ, Mitch, and Frank take a decent to big step forward. Obi should contribute early on, maybe Quickley also. Noel and Burks are solid additions. Randle, Bullock, and Payton we'll see but they are NBA players like them or not. And maybe one of Knox or DSJ take a step forward though I don't expect it. Nobody we lost was of any real importance. This was a team on an upward curve when the season ended and I'd say the talent level has improved. And I believe we have a better coach than we've had in a while. And we still have some flexibility and other moves may be coming.

I'm not going to go nuts and predict 50 wins, but if things gel I would not be shocked by 40 or so. Of course things can go wrong too. But those saying "same old Knicks" I think are locked into their negativity and not seeing what is really going on.

We need shooters in the worst possible way, starting caliber shooters. Right now, the best shooters among our potential starters are Bullock and probably Toppin, and the rest are not even mediocre. A recipe for disaster. And the best free agent shooters are already gone. What's the master plan, Mr. Rose? Or is Mitch coming back equipped with a Patrick Ewing jumper?

I really hope we trade Randle and DSJ for a solid complimentary wing

If the Kings want to keep Bogdanovic for $18mil, would you help them out by offering Randle for Buddy Hield? I know his contract is high and long (4 seasons $20mil per), and he’s a bad defender, but he would provide a great shooter at the SG slot, allowing you to move RJ to SF. I honestly don’t see any FA signing with us in the near future unless we overpay role players, so why not just take him on? You’d still have cap space, and essentially would only be an extra $16mil next season (as Randles deal is guaranteed $4mil

It’d make sense but at what cost? I’m not entirely convinced all kings would settle for is Randle

I’d only do it as a salary dump for the Kings. Randle essentially expires for them after this season, so essentially by us taking on Hield, they free up the salary to pay Bogdanovic the $18mil per the Hawks have just offered him.

Knicks were able to get omari spellman, Jacob Evans and a pick for Ed Davis. In short we got 3 2nd round picks for Ed Davis.

Why sigh?

Honest question. He isn’t my favorite player but there is some talent in him and a one year deal is flexible. He definitely has value as a potential deadline trade for a pick.

Oh no reason really, I’m just trying to keep up with the moves now that FVV and Hayward type moves are off the table.

I agree with you, Leon and team executing next set of plans.

I love what we are doing. Yes it’s not big FA but at least we aren’t overpaying for a FA or a veteran with a bad contract. We are collecting assets and using our cap space as a way to help obtain those assets.
