One question. What the **** does Leon Rose know about basketball? God forbid we hire someone with RECENT track record of success. Like hiring some ******* from McKinsey.

Well he just stole millions from Dolan and potentially millions more for potential CAA clients.

Yep, just a rerun of the coaching search We could have hired a proven winner in Bud, but went for the supposed recruiter Fiz for his connections. Here we could have gone for Uriji, Presti or Morey but went for the guy with no experience and connections. Same reason we hired Mills. We never learn

Morey and Presti would have been after the season. Ujiri likely as well if Toronto would let him go.
All we got are rumors. My take is Dolan wants to position the franchise so we are fully up to speed by the draft. Sort out the coaching scenario, player evaluations, etc. Rose might be amicable to keeping the remainder of FO in tact. The other guys would want "Their guys" in place. Remember, "Their guys" is part of the success and departing guys are restricted by who they can take or not. Depends on the contract.
Since nobody trusts Dolan, this will be a wait and see thing.

Like most here, I would have preferred an experienced exec at prez. With that said, as long as he surrounds himself with basketball guys whose interest is to rebuild this thing from the ground up without trying to skip steps, we should fine.

sounds like something I would say and think... but reading it from someone else my reaction is "oh look how cute... he brought logic to the Knick table"

I agree but I am terrified we see full retard here. We did a good job at the deadline. I hope we really give the young guys some burn now, especially Iggy

They should have hire Kenny Smith and then get Mark Jackson as head coach. The few times I agreed with Stephen A. Smith

Victor Oladipo is an unrestricted FA this summer. Leon Rose was his agent.
