There's no mercy rule but there's a code of conduct that professionals share. Memphis are guests at our home court. They won. Show some respect to your hosts as everyone on these teams are members of the same fraternity after all, there's no need to do what Jae did.

Let me be clear i don't have a problem with the steal. But then ok, run time off the clock and if you take a three at the end of the shot clock so be it. That isn't what happened. Crowder went immediately to score, and not just a two point shot, but a three point shot.

Why? They had already covered the 1.5 point spread. The Over/Under number was 222 so they were clearly over. No incentive at all to try to go for a 2 for 1 or whatever was going through his head shooting with that much time left in a decided victory.

Everything in moderation. Even moderation.

It's just basic thoughtfulness, awareness and consideration- if you want to insult someone, insult THEM, not a whole gender of people that have nothing to do with it. If avoiding a word and using another one helps to avoid contributing towards the systematic dehumanization of a group of people, which would lead to physical and verbal abuse and decreased life chances, then that's absolutely a good thing.

I haven’t called anyone a bitch since I was in maybe 10th grade. To me, it doesn’t have anything to do with being politically correct. I think it’s just wrong. I say that and actually agree that we are a way too politically correct society. Not because of this though.

When was that? His rookie season? I feel I can't remember as dude hasn't played many minutes with any consistency for 2 seasons.

He played 1 game of 28 minutes this season, the rest in the teens and low 20s. Tonight DNP on a team that is doing awful and is so not worried about his development that DSJ gets showcased. He's probably not going anywhere anyway, so we'll get 1 more season at least. A lot of young players show more at this point but even though our organization is bad, he's not earned enough to me.

Our fans who love or really want to find anyway to support him I wonder if it's also about being worried he's going to turn good if he goes, still traumatized by all of the young players we've let go over the years.

He's never doing well for any long period since his rookie season. Our fans are always complaining about him or raising questions about his game which is then defended by those who seem to treat him as if he's their son or best friend or something haha.

I don’t get why people don’t look up stats before making such emphatic statement of supposed fact that are so clearly wrong. I mean, just google that **** so you don’t look silly

martin, I did look it up on bball reference, man. I didn't just make those numbers up, lol. How would I get the numbers?

I meant in the past 2 months. Since December. I must have deleted that part of the sentence when editing by accident. My apologies.

Either way, am I wrong about everything else? He's always in the doghouse at some point for long streches over the past 2 season and then has a few good games and then back to doghouse. Repeat, wash, rinse. He's been here less than 3 seasons, but "don't worry he's young," yet other "young" players on other teams start to show more than he has. Of course, there's some that come out of their struggles, but how anyone is so sure he will I dunno. OF COURSE HE MIGHT. We'll see and I'll gladly eat crow...

It's quite interesting how dedicated to and invested in his development some of our fans are, imho at this point.

Jae should have wisened up and simply said I was wrong. I don’t know what I was thinking

This just shows he’s stupid in addition to being a punk

Also glad they turned the water off. Ja apparently Thought that was a coincidence

This team is so dysfunctional now from the top down. Maybe this will galvanize things

I heard about the sell the team chant. One can only hope

No hot water in the visitor locker room? Ok now is the perfect time for Dolan to rise up
and say not on my watch. Issue a statement and say we want to me first class organization and will have it fixed by noon.

He straight up said the Knicks talk trash and don’t play hard. It’s more of an indictment on the Knicks than him. We just fired Fizdale for the same $hit they are doing now.

I would trade this entire team except Barrett and Mitch and fire Mills and Perry. It’s sickening how we, yet again, need a fresh start. At least we have our picks and relatively okay contracts.

I know he said that, and it was a lame thing to say. I don't agree that we don't play hard (now). We played bad. Everyone talks trash

He definitely should know better and would have been better served if he just said My Bad. Stupid punk

not an indictment on Knicks. You don't do that crap for multiple reasons. One is sportsmanship (and Grizzlies would expect the same courtesy if the script was flipped); two, you're damn sure the knicks are going to play that clip before they play next as motivation.

Weird stat last night. Ja Morant was +42!! We need someone like that

We’re just going to have to remain on a different page on this one. I saw Crowder do a move that hurt the Knicks feelings. Payton did a bigger dick move and could have 1) hurt Crowder and 2) starter a pretty bad brawl. Nothing bad happened thankfully but it was still a bad move. All Payton had to do was get in his face and all would have been fine and I would have sided with him.

The reality though is Crowder looks like an ass, Peyton looks like a bigger ass and the Knicks stink.

what the ****. time to clean house. again. if my son ever pulls anything like that in any of his future games he's only getting garbage time for a month. beyond unacceptable. but i guess this what happens when you know your team ****ing sucks and no one is coming back next year.

This team just sucks with the vets playing big minutes. It's a boring game to watch with a bunch of iso players who can't shoot and play slow. There can be a couple keepers from that group, but generally we need another reset and it should come at the trade deadline. After the deadline i can't see any reason to continue to start a team full of stopgap vets. At least with the young guys we will be faster and more exciting.

Yeah, Jae clearly violated an unwritten rule. The game is over, you put the ball down. Personally, I have no problem with what Elfrid did. Now the other stuff....calling a Crowder feminine....No made a mistake. Jae does have certain tendencies but there is no need to call him out for it and put attention on an entire gender because Jae is lame. No apologized and I get where he was coming from, but he got to be smarter than that.

Sorry, may have over reacted there, seems to have been more than a couple of posts recently where users literally made up stats and it's killing me.

Not sure what your definition of doghouse is, for me that would be clear DNP-CD (or near it) and that really hasn't happened, I would say DSJr is in the doghouse but the Knicks also have 3 PGs to use when they are healthy and so far he is the least capable. Trier? Out of rotation, doghouse I guess and plenty of better players ahead of him.

How do we rate players on an even/level playing field? Do we say that because they are drafted in say top 10 they MUST develop faster or on a better pace then someone from the second round? Players don't have any say in where they are drafted. How about age? Is it fair to equally compare someone coming in at 18 vs 22? For contract purposes, perhaps, realistically it's probably not ideal?

Do you consider Mitch in the doghouse? His minutes may be a bit more than Frank's but realistically the Knicks have zero centers on the team and Taj is at best a 20 minute player max on a good night, so no real competition for minutes, he is just getting them by default. Similarly, if Payton was not on team Frank would be getting a ton more, same with DSJr, by default.

Also, how do we balance the scenario where Frank is not having the best game and the Knicks are in the game and haven't won in a while.... keep Frank in or bring back Payton who was playing AOK? Hard grey area when Miller and Knicks need wins, right?

Last year was not good because of the injuries for Frank so it's hard to say what was effecting minutes.

Miller pretty straight up about when a player don't get his minutes. His recent comments about Trier pretty much said it.
Im a frank Homer so Im not going to make shyt up. But, I really don't have an issue with sitting him either way. Dennis doe not "deserve" the minutes but he a 21 year old with a contract thru next year and I have no issue with him getting minutes if it the thought process is to get him back on track.
Is it to "Showcase" him? Seems kind of silly given he is rusty and if was rehabbing not in great shape. If to show case he is healthy? Maybe. I would not expect to see much given how little he played this year.

Part of me is "take your ass whooping like a man. At the same time I get Elf was mad and did his punk move. He should have thrown the ball at him and yelled then go chest chest, but he did what he did. Elf does need to be aware and take care of the ball ALWAYS!!
That said, nothing about last night bothered me except im envious Memphis is rebuilding faster than us. Good win-win trade Rapts and Grizz made last year.
