I always look at trades from the other team's perspective. If I'm the warriors, any trade offer from the Knicks has to begin with Mitch and a 1st round pick. Frank and Portis are not even close to enough for Russ. Why would GS want trade pg who is 2xs better than the pg the Knicks are offering? And you also want me to take Randle?
If that's the offer, I'm hanging up the phone.

Looking at it from their perspectives they are the ones who need to trade him more than we need him. How many teams in the NBA need a guard like Russell?

Maybe Cleveland?
Maybe Magic?
T Wolves?
Detroit?
Spurs?

How many of them are interested? Right now its just us and the T Wolves. If I offer you a pick, Frank, and expiring essentially we are giving GSW a chance to start over and find their KD replacement and they're a pick and a solid backup PG better off than they were last year. Are the Twolves stupid enough to give up their pick this year for him? GSW arnt taking back Wiggins as that would defeat the whole purpose of the trade in the first place. I could see a Russell+GSW pick for Towns but that would be highway robbery given how horrible this draft is. Not saying the package we have to offer is ideal but GSW are the ones in a pickle here not us and we are correct in trying to exploit that.

TWolves have to give up their #1 because they have no expiring good deals to give up

But does that make sense for TWolves? Lets say the deal is as someone posted earlier Covington + Dieng + their first for Russell. Do the T-Wolves become a better team and or more financially better off?

This! I do like Rozier though...Dude is a dog!

Randle, Smith, and Portis for Rozier, Monk and Byombo makes some sense. Saves the Hornets a little money and balances out each roster. Smith draws some fanfare as a local product and maybe can find his game there. Rozier immediately upgrades the PG position and adds shooting and defense. He’s a great fit alongside Barrett.

We have to stop worrying about cap space and concentrate on assembling a winning team. Rozier is better than what we have and PGs are at a premium. Of the Rumors Rozier vs Schroder vs Rose.

Hands down - Rozier in my book. And its fair trade. Randle is a decent player, Martin a smart emerging player, Monk - no more a project than DSJ or Trier.

The forums have been griping about PG play for months - here's a candidate.

I said Knicks could trade Randle for Rozier 2 months ago! Problem with Rozier is he's not good at anything- the archetype player we seem to target!

I don’t agree w this. Our FO is inept. We should be worried about them making desperate moves to save their jobs and hurt us in the future
