I didn't even look at the specific #s because I've watched Melo his whole career.

Look man I know Phil didn’t come into a good situation considering that James Dolan is one of the worst owners in Basketball, but most of his move have BACKFIRE BIG TIME.

As far as opportunity, there will always be one at some point, the Knicks just have to do their due diligence and be ready (WITH ASSETS) when one is presented. The Pelicans (another bad team) acquired D Cousins for very little. The Heat developed H. Whiteside from the D League, and I can keep going on and on.

Boston traded their aging stars when it was clear they were done and they found a real stupid taker. We need to do the same with Melo but unfortunately teams are more careful because of what happened between nets/celtics.

But Phil was able to trade those squandered Assets for cap space? But what did he do with the cap he created? HE WASTED AWAY IN OVER PAYING PAST THEIR PRIME VETERANS. Phil didn’t do his homework right considering that those guys were already in the decline years ago.

Look man I know Phil didn’t come into a good situation considering that James Dolan is one of the worst owners in Basketball, but most of his move have BACKFIRE BIG TIME.

As far as opportunity, there will always be one at some point, the Knicks just have to do their due diligence and be ready (WITH ASSETS) when one is presented. The Pelicans (another bad team) acquired D Cousins for very little. The Heat developed H. Whiteside from the D League, and I can keep going on and on.

The Noah deal was god awful no doubt about it. rose was only a one year deal so it wasn't a big deal plus we got a 2nd rounder out of it. The Chandler and Shump/Smith trades I felt we could have gotten a bit more but looking back their trade value probably wasnt too high because of injuries/bad years but we still could have gotten Crowder which Phil admit he messed up on

In my opinion the Rose deal was just as bad considering that we gave up RoLo a decent center on a good contract and Grant, our first pick in a long time which we acquired by trading Hardaway Jr. So no Rolo, no Grant and no Hardaway for what may be a one year rental player. Personally, Rose is not the type of players rebuilding teams should be looking to trade for, just my opinion.
