MELO is actually thinking the game now! He's a focal point and distributor and it's making the team better.

Jr was always an excellent catch and shoot player.

This team is not efficient from the outside at all but the more melo trusts them the better they will shoot.

except his numbers dipped here for some reason(nightlife).

If Denver Jr showed up in NY it would have been a thing a beauty. However Melo needed to pass more. I do like the movement from the players though when teams overload against Melo. The spacers(afflalo) need to do a better job sliding to the open zones behind the arch in Melo's passing window though. It's like a Wr settling down in the open zone.

He just said something to the affect Melo normally takes the tech but Calderon is the highest percentage FT shooter.

thats fine but don't like the apologists that blame his lack of passing before this on his teammates. He played with many better teams than this. The only year that he passed even close is when MDA forced him too and he hated it but he got more assists.

MELO most surely has a fuller grasp of this offense and defense and how he can impact his teammates positively by setting them up! This is what Phil was talking about when he said there was another level MELO could take his game too.

Unlike how MELO reacted when MDA asked him to play like this, this time he's fully bought in, rather than reluctant. Makes all the difference in the world.
