i prefer to think that he has come to his senses, is getting some mentoring from the right people in fisher and jackson, and realizes his career is only going to continue winding down. i think he has always possessed the skills but not the will or the common sense to play the right way.

exactly - I doubt he had tried to play the right way before. There is zero evidence suggesting he has ever honestly bought in to team culture and really tried. I do like what he is doing now. I am not about to anoint this the rebirth of Melo - it's half a season with a fair amount of 7-23 type games sprinkled in. But if he consistently keeps doing this and doesn't start sulking or going ISO when things get tough, I will accept that Phil/Fisher have worked some real magic. Melo has been low on the character side of things for his entire career so this is a welcome change.

I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only try to make them think - Socrates

Perhaps an older and wiser Anthony was simply touched by the magic of a Latvian, just like this little kid...

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?
