Which is exactly what I attempted to point out to Chuck earlier.
It's time.
ok ... lets say just a star or whatever level. He needs to move the ball and not think of himself as the first option every time he touches it.
After tonight, melo is about his career avg for assists. Not the great new improved melo that everyone is gaga about.
He may becoming the highest paid decoy of all time.
Again, after KP has arguably his best game as pro in a win… what are you and Chuck fixated on…
Point made.
tickled pink tonight ... talking about the bigger picture.
No you aren't. You're relitigating a game already played and won.
You said it yourself, he's AVERAGING around his career figures. Which means tonight's 0 has no predictive value for the next game or any other game. He's gonna have his 5s and his 4s and his 3s and 2s etc…
You're fixating over something that doesn't represent his game, because what's most interesting to you in a road game won is a poor showing in one or two statistical categories.
Not big picture - micro picture, of a successful team outing now in the past.
that is not interesting to me tonight, its what I care about every game. If he has a good passing, I call it out too. I am fixating on melo's passing and have been for too long.
every season I go into it with new hope that this is going to be the year that Melo realizes what he needs to get to the next level and becomes the unselfish player that we need him to be.
I am a jilted fan what can I say.
Not all this.
You seem to phase in and out of being very reasonable.
Surely you can see the Melo vs. Porzingis dynamic that gets so much run around here is utterly and strangely irrelevant.
I have not been part of the him vs. KP stuff
I consistently ride melo for not passing and will do it after every game that he doesn't.
Right, because that'll help.
help? How are you helping?
I'm not.
I'm having an exchange with someone I can communicate with directly.
You're "riding Melo" from afar and he'll never hear it. Hence, the inability to get past it.
True. We should all stop praising him too.
I am looking for group therapy to deal with my dissapointment
Be flip all you want. You aren't "riding Melo", you're very consciously looking to pick fights with your fellow fans over the same exact topic even in the light of what would have been a very surprising win just a couple of weeks ago.
Perception is reality. You and Chuck are being called out on it by several posters. I'm new enough to notice it immediately.
Melo is not going to change as a player. All YOU'RE doing is defiantly looking to repeat the same dynamic here night in and night out.
Knicks as a team HAVE changed. Good things are occurring. A couple of us are stuck in the past 4 years.
There's no disputing this.
