Porzingis was projected #15 in the 2014 draft. He did look faster and more mobile in his predraft workouts versus his video clips from a year ago. Nowitzki was skinny but had broad shoulders when he was younger... just not sure how much more weight this kid is gonna put on.

Not a huge fan of this pick at #4.

I like the pick. I think the kid is going to be a Dirk/Gasol hybrid that will at least be a solid starter for us and will probably average 20 pts and 8 rebounds (if not more) for the next 10 years. WHat I like is when this kid shots, he is hitting nothing but net. That is a sign of a great shooter. This kid moves like a power forward, and he is going to have a huge advantage over most of the people trying to guard him (as he will be too quick for centers and too tall for many of the small PF that start for teams today). It will take him a year for his body to develop and for him to get used to the NBA game, but in 2 years, people will say that Jackson made a good decision with drafting this kid. I also like the other picks that Jackson made. This is a draft that is going to take a year or two to fully payoff, but I think we got solid players.

It's funny watching Knicks fans become a trending topic on Twitter with a bunch of bozos young and old being histrionic. Wait, actually, it's sad. I want to boo all these chumps wearing orange jerseys.

Welcome to the kid. 19 years old, already a four-year pro in a legit league, great English skills, works hard towards his goals, looks like he has a good support system, gets props from the likes of Kevin Garnett for his face up abilities on big men, and is determined to disprove the "soft white Euro" moniker. Seems like he has the skillset, drive and temperament for the city. I wish him well and look forward to watching him grow as a Knick.

Although I may not want to be watching alongside any other Knick fans, Jesus Kristaps, what a bunch of whiners.

Not sure where it ranks but the Spanish league is the top international league to my knowledge. If you count the D-League, that is better as well.

Which is better? You're saying D League is better than Spanish league or the reverse?

It's the second best pro league in the world.. Kristap Spanish team would crush duke and Kentucky on a nightly basis.. Kristap is really really good he will be starting by the seasons end

On ESPN.com they did a translation of his stats to college ball and said if he hypothetically replaced Okafor at Duke, his numbers would have been almost identical to him. In the 18 point, 8 reb, 2 block range if i remember right.
