the guy didn't do anything outside of what he was known to be good at it... all the questions about him are when other players are on the floor with him.. rebounding, handling the ball, passing...

he will be 20 before the start of the season... he's the same age as most college sophs coming out..

It's a workout in front of the entire nba and he should've been sitting his pants and he went out and probably had the best individual workout any one has seen this pre draft. All of that pressure and kid aces it you think he is going 1-4 against Wisconsin? Or more like 17 points 8 rebounds 6 blocks.

I remember you once put a YouTube of Jordan Hill it was crazy watching Hill drop buckets from everywhere on the floor he was shooting threes, post and all. Prozingis will be at best a decent player. Not worth the risk that these guys carry with them he isn't a high ceiling player.

This kid looks good, but so did Bargiani, It's hard to judge a player and it's not live action

whatever he did... it's not the first mindblowing workout someone has had...

i dunno.. it's not so much a euro thing than a soft 7fters who migrate to 3p land to generate offense... danny ferry, sam perkins, bargnani... the list is a lot longer than that.. and if you can count on someone busting it's a 7fter who's allergic to the paint...

this is the easiest bust call if this guy goes anywhere in the lottery...

I was high on this dude after the work out video......but when you watch some real games....he has bust written all over him.

The knicks are hyping him up to increase his value.....same with the sixers......everybody wants the team ahead of him to draft him. Just like we are saying LA and the sixers control the draft.....teams 5 and down are saying that about us.

I think it comes down to Mudiay winslow stein and maybe kaminsky

what makes me nervous is that this is phil's first draft with the hype machine on overdrive.... and he could get caught up in that especially if his scouts are all raving about him...

this whole thing makes me nervous... i can live with mudiay altho i wouldn't be entirely happy... porzingis and lyles i would not be able to stand to watch the impending disaster...

Some one behind us is pimping this guys value..Phil is a rook and could get caught up in this..He has been taken around the block a few times already..Press clippings saying the two teams just above us loves and raves about this kid..Watch Phil feels like he is the smartest guy in the room when he picks him 4th...Dudes behind us are just laying in the weeds waiting for Mudiay, Winslow and WCS to fall to them...

So your not fallin for The Banana In The Tailpipe? Euro jump shooting bigs are a dime a dozen but is KrisP the chosen one to finally break thru and claim the Dirk throne? It'll be years before we know. It may be worth the risk for some franchise but not sure about NY.

Phil's not stupid and he's seen and been part of many drafts over the years. Also his staff has a former exec of the year winner in Mark Warkentien. They're advising him so he's not gonna go in with no help. We need to stop dissing our own team. They have a lot of experienced talent evaluation on staff and a former GM. They are not amateurs.

i'm a big fan of warkentien... but there are a lot of factions in our front office...

you have the houston/mills camp the dolan yes-men... you have phils guys in clarence gaines and fisher... and you have leftovers from the grunwald era like warkentien and his analytics guy mike smith...

i kinda like phil but i thought his draft moves so far were a disaster... which makes me nervous about this one... for everyone's sake i just hope he makes the right one...

How about we give it more than the last season? Phil asked Warkentien to stay. Warkentien was going to leave but Phil recognized his value as an Exec of the year winning GM and one of the early adopters of having Analytics guys in house.

They weren't going all in last year. They knew this summer was the real opp to makes big upgrades. Phil did the right thing going with a near total rebuild and this summer is huge. They've been preparing for this summer for over a year. I think they have a pretty clear plan for how they want to build the team.

Chad Ford gets boned up over every single 7ft euro prospect that declares for the draft year in and year out. Just saying. He's a journalist and an insider, not a scout nor does he have any professional experience evaluating talent besides his access which BTW stems from a personal website he built back in the late 90's that ESPN bought (sportsline? Was it called? I forget but it became ESPN insider). All I'm saying is the guys opinion is mostly meaningless

It's called public relations. Agents use this time to do whatever they can to increase stock value. Do we know how much Chad Ford was paid to make that statement? How come he's the only one, with so many NBA scouts and reporters out there. Gotta be careful with what people say, and you also have to do the eye test.

I remember people were saying Lebron just dominating because he's the biggest player in HS. So instead of believing it, I started watching some of the HS games. And I immediately said, if he's a team player, with high IQ as a passer, someone who can handle the rock and see the floor....and unselfish at a young age.....I knew he would be a star in the league.

I see Mudiay also having high IQ as a PG who sees the entire floor. And like Lebron, he has the physical tools to take over games. Like Lebron, his jumper is in question. But thats normal. You can't start life being good at every single aspect of the game. I don't think thats ever happened.

My fear is that Porzingis actually tried his hardest to get bigger and stronger. This is when you are your hungriest. This is right before you become a millionaire. And basically he's the same size and plays with the same strength as before. So what gives me incentive that he will improve at a faster rate, after he gets all this money, girls, and fame.

He's going to be exactly what you see now (in real games), probably way after Phil leaves....He will get traded before we even see his growth. It might take him to reach his 30's before he adds on grown man weight and becomes a force in the NBA. The question is will the knick wait that long? Will the NBA wait that long?

I am not sure if that was the site but there was an awesome site that had a rumors section that was the first of its kind. Before that it was Vecesy's Post column. I hated that espn bought that site and made it something you had to pay for.
I know Chad's bio but he is a guy respected for his knowledge and he has been at this since the 90s so he has some clout.

Gotta be honest i dont trust taking euro players this high. Ive seen way more crash and burns with first round euro players instead of successes like dirk. Knowing the knicks luck it will be frederic weis 2.0 lol

Chad might've been paid. His credibility isn't the highest right now. But he isn't the only one who has ravef about KristP. The fact that DtaftX bumped him to three days a lot.

Real talk? There's probably only about a one-third chance this pick will be an all star. Doesn't matter if it's a Euro, high schooler, freshman, sophomore, junior or senior. http://www.draftexpress.com/NBA-draft-pick-stats/4/PER/
