WCS is he is very economical as he fills an expensive position cheaply. He's more of a move that may pay off in next years free agency, rather than this season. I wouldn't sign Greg Monroe if we picked him.

His jumper looked pretty smooth to me in that video. And again he hit 41% on jumpers outside 11ft this past season.

I think he's an excellent prospect. I'm torn between Winslow and Stein at the moment, but I would not be sad at all if we drafted WCS.

The only guy that really makes you a championship contender by himself is Towns. And look at the Pelicans - even with AD and some decent talent around him, what's their path to the championship? They have miles to go, too.

Russell you could build around. maybe OK4.

Winslow and Stein are very very good pieces and they could be starters on a championship team. That makes either worth taking. I think they both have high ceilings, too. I think Winslow maybe has more potential to be a Leonard or George or Butler do it all type SF. Stein can be a defensive anchor... but his mobility and quickness may allow him to be one of the better ones in the league. His ability to shut down the pick and roll SHOULD NOT be ignored. That is so so key. Yeah, I keep waffling between Winslow and Stein. I'm glad I don't like Mudiay too much, or I'd be totally torn up.

Im really starting to think that. WCS has the feel of a player who comes into the league and people are like where did THAT come from? We never saw that. But Im the first to admit I flop on him. Im just trying to have an open mind.

I've never seen Tyson shoot jumpers as smoothly or as comfortably as Stein did in those videos, or even honestly in games (meaning, I've seen Stein look that comfortable in game situations shooting a few times, too, I think the jumper is a weapon he will have). Stein is a decent passer, too, he just wasn't asked to do it often. But watching those Lyles highlight tapes - Stein is often setting him up, hitting him on cuts to the paint with a good pass.

I keep worrying that passing on Winslow is a major mistake though. That kid just seems like he's got his head screwed on 100% right, a true warrior - which is one thing I can't honestly say I'm as sure of with Stein.

OK....just saw the video....And just like I thought.....I'm off the Winslow train for now (until I see his video). Stein will be able to man the 5 spot all by himself one day, if not today. With WCS, I don't think we need Monroe. Why not draft WCS and pay for a SF buttler type FA....Carrol, Green, Butler.....I might be dreaming, but thats ok. I see WCS as a tall Winslow.....as far as defense goes. And I think Kentucky held him back a lot on offense, so we really don't know his offensive ceiling. But his offense might be better than Tyson or D.Jordan.....We all know his defense. And whats key for me is to hear him say he's working on what he's good at.....so many young players come in and just work on weaknesses, but forget their strengths. WCS will truly be a two way 7'1 center.....Who enjoys guarding the PnR, while protecting the rim all at the same time.....He knows thats his value and he will improve on that even more? Can't pass on this kid! Somebody has to guard all the Anthony Davis type centers.....And Stephen Curry floaters.....I think he's the only center who can guard both Davis and Curry! I don't think Winslow can do that.....I know he can't.

I disagree. I think WCS will thrive in the triangle just like Rodman did. He has a high IQ, and is always on the move. The triangle is very pass happy, will benefit him as a high flyer/finisher.

If we have any kind of passing on this team, I think Stein will easily score 12ppg. He can score over the top of the D - which is very valuable. The fact that you have to keep a body on him to watch for the lob and for offensive rebounds doesn't really make him a zero on offense at all. If you look at Tristan Thompson in these playoffs or Camby in NY in 99 or Tyson in Dallas in 2011... guys like this become invaluable in tight playoffs series.

He's an underrated passer.....I've seen him throw lobs to Towns during the games. Runs like a guard....Can get the rebound and push the ball in a straight line. Then get it right back for a monster dunk. He is Madison Square Garden material. He's somebody that Towns and Ok4 will have nightmares about, in a few years....He's already 21....so his body is maturing at the right time, along with his IQ. He will impact right away....He might not be long term, but who is in this money hungry world. WCS is the pick for me....Winslow and Mudiay are a very....very....very close second. All three will be solid, but I want to build my team starting with a rim protector and PnR defender in Stein......Now you only need average defenders around him......top defenders around him would put us in the playoffs run much earlier than expected.

I agree completely. It's why I'm torn between Stein and Winslow at the moment.

I do think Phil will try to select the guy that gets the Knicks to the playoffs as quickly as possible. I think he and Melo want and feel they need it for their legacies. Stupid and short-sighted or not... this is the Knicks, afterall...
