I guess there is a reason why silverfuel, hardcoreknicksfan, marv, djsunyc, evil, killa4luv, Panos, VDesai, 95buick, Allanfan20, knicksdom, nyk4ever, solace and a countless other guys i forgot to mention don't post here any more....and there is a reason why that group of guys made it to hangout and become good friends in real life.

Maybe since you know them personally they've told you point blank but I'd guess that one reason why a knicks board loses posters after longer periods of time is because being a fan of this team has been soul crushing for a long time and constantly hashing it out over and over in your head can wear you down. But who knows like I said you probably have more info than I about why they don't post much anymore.

I'd say half of the people on that list left for the reason you mentioned. Some who are no longer here were actually banned and DJ had enough of the team and became a Raptor fan and still hangs out

Islesfan. He was another one who was very critical of the team but most people rallied against him. He was well liked by some and missed. I think he took it too far and got banned and never bothered to return. Eny left out his boy Playa who's been banned a million times.

Isles fan isn't on that list. Are there any guys on that list banned? I don't enjoy Splat's style of posting, or his attacking Nix but I choose to ignore most of his stuff. I respond to him sometimes. Banning is for the mods.

Splat lashed out at Nix because because he didn't like being talked down to. He went to far and apologized. It happens with first time posters than they adjust and are capable of moving on. He hasn't evn gotten a warning So I'm wonderkng why Eny still wants him banned

I guess Andrew and I have a unique perspective on banning and we obviously are very aware of the many, multiple times we have asked playa both within the forums and throughout email etc about OT content and how to best and most appropriately post. Bonn, it's always hard for me to understand when you and others ask/post about previous warnings; playa has been publicly warned about a million times, and many many more offline. Perhaps I just naturally get to see all of those?
Playa has gone thru at least 2 different logins and many many months of not posting at our insistence. We have had too many last straws, etc. This was a VERY easy call.

For the most part, if we ban someone, it's after many warning - many offline - and with very easy to understand reasons.

We had very specifically asked that playa keep his OT stuff in OT and still be mindful of the content. He posted trash.

i think this is the rangers year. We have the best record and thats with missing lundqvist for 6 weeks

I think they should ride out Talbot's hot streak. The last thing the Rangers need is to rock the boat. Give Henrik all the time in the world to heal. Let him get back into aging shape and return next year if need be.

They won't do that but I'd be very concern about him being rusty heading into the playoffs.

The thing is you don't know how Talbot is going to handle being in the playoffs. Henrik has already proven to be a great playoff performer.

Very tough decision. Glad I'm not making it!

i heard there is a good chance wont be back until the playoffs...thats not good. We all know hank is great but it takes him a few games to get into a rhythm. In the playoffs you dont have that luxary

yea I don't get why some can't understand why knick fans are skeptical and the Knicks need to earn their respect back after the past 15yrs of being a laughing stock first. Me personally and im sure others agree have had their hearts ripped out so many times because of the asisine decisions this team makes year after year. Most of us lived through the 90s. We just want to get back to being a respectable team again. We don't need to have "positivity" shoved down our throat every time the Knicks make a move. How about they just earn our respect back. 15yrs and the fanbase is still waiting patiently.

Pretty much agree. But, when something positive happens and an attempt is made to acknowledge it, it sucks when guys dismiss it, trash it, or spin it to mistakes made 2,3,4 gm's ago etc. Often this is done with a smug arrogance like they know something that guys that have followed this team 24/7 for the last 25 years don't know.

could not agree with this more.. i'm nowhere near a homer, but watching thread after thread get hijacked with melo hate, and all kinds of other nonsense has become tiresome. and it's always the same handful of posters. i dont agree with plenty of people here most of the time (bonn, holfresh being a few of them and we've certainly had our squabbles) but i respect those guys and respect what they bring to this forum. i can't say the same for others though.

I give kudos to the anti-fans like Bplat and dktfk for sticking around when things really, truly suhuck major donkey kong. As opposed to others who just drifted off.

Deep down inside, they're here because they obviously are Knick fans. Why else would anyone be here now?
