I used to get so annoyed with Woodson's new lineups each game, starting James White and only playing him 5 mins in the game then changing it up again. How do you start a guy, yet not even have him in the rotation? Never heard of such a thing. We led the league in different lineups the last couple years i think. Find a 5 that you like, a rotation, and ride it out. Let's get some continuity and allow players to get comfortable in their roles, whether they like it or not.
Your mouth to gods ears
fisher is going to have the same problem, Watch and see..
Woodson was psychotically dumb. He repeatedly started players and would bench them after mere minutes of play. It didn't matter if they were playing well or not! Woodson would leave hot hands on the bench and lose games. Woodson would stick with cold hands and lose games. Woodson let a self-destructing JR Smith shoot us out of the Indiana series as an efficient bench scorer in Copeland was benched and an ineffective Kidd played instead of Pablo. Worst coach ever.
Fish may have personnel issues to deal with like Woodson, but to even suggest they will end up with the same problems by default is a poor inference when many of the problems the Knicks experienced were as a result of Woodson's abysmal roster management. There is no way a competent coach couldn't have made the playoffs with last year's roster in a crappy conference.
I think this coach is going to handle things far differently than in the past regardless of ongoing roster imbalances. There are personnel handicaps, but not all problems are equal relative to who is dealing with the issue.
