Dallas took big risk becaus etheyw ere trying to get melo and/or other big FA and it looks like they struck out. Its nice to be on the other side of a trade for once

Yup, tyson thought he would be able to recruit Melo because they were real "close". Too bad he had no idea melo loved the trade.

Clyde complaining about a non-blatant travel in a summer league blow out. We all miss NYK basketball.

REALLY happy with the SL team talent. I thought we got to see some nice things from just about everyone. It's still early in the process of developing some of these guys and I can see some nice signs already. They played as a team and gave good effort. Loved Cole tho I fully expected him to be productive. This guy just needs minutes. IF we played him more last year our rebounding numbers would've been much better. He's a legit bigman and will only get better. Liked what I saw from Early and Larkin. We have to remember these guys will need some time to shake the usual nerves and gain experience playing at this level and the NBA level. THJ was pretty much what I expected. Tyler still needs work, but the talent is there. Altogether A really fun game and good 1st step.

A lot to be pleased with. I'd like to see Cleanthony get to the hope with more frequency, but he played well. THJ's handles showed some improvement, but it needs to get better. Tyler looked a step slow and lost at times. Cole was a beast on the boars. His hands still suck, but he moves well without the ball and he's a solid enough passer. Larkin is a weapon on offense, but the verdict is still out on his defense. I'd like to see him tested by someone a little bit more dynamic than Gabe Mekel.

Larkin is more of a quick pest kind of defender. He'll get a lot of steals but obviously he's not a stopper. He can stay in front of guys but since he's not big he's not going to really intimidate shooters. I'm not so worried about his defense in that I think he'll hold his own. He's not gonna get beat like Felton.

He looked kinda bummy in the game, IMO. Before Phil came aboard I was in full support of adding him though. Now that we're running the triangle, I don't think he has the passing or shooting skills to fit in.

+1. I think he could offer some meaningful minutes to a team, off the bench. That jump shot of his is hideous though.

Both Wiggins and Parker look off tonight. Nate Wolters continue to develop.

Was just thinking the same to myself. Wiggins, in particular, looks awful. I know that they are not running any set plays but I was expecting more from him. Aside from being an athlete, he hasn't demonstrated anything that he is good at, which will be a problem with LeBron aboard. He better figure out a role for himself or he can quickly become an after thought, among the many busts of the Cavs past.

On the plus side, Bennett looks like he has a pulse.

Yeah, I always though he could be a nice bench player in the mold of a Rodney Rogers or Brandon Bass. Next to LeBron, I feel like he'd fit in exceedingly well. He needs to start dropping all that fat though. Knees were meant to take but so much pressure.

Spoke too soon about Parker. Kid really started heating up in the 2nd, which carried over into the 3rd. He's a lot more agile than I thought he was.

Yeah, he just needs to slow down.

Just watched the first half on the second airing. This kid is a live body. Hope the Knicks keep him and don't send him to Europe. He and Cole are the two that stand out for me so far. I don't think Tyler got off the bench in the first half.

Tyler started the third quarter. Looks thinner and is active.

I like how Early let the game come to him. He didn't try to prove anything. He just stuck to the plays and took what was there. Clyde was knocking him for not dribbling and looking to create, but I think he's doing just what he needed to do in this system. Take what the plays give you. MOVE AND MOVE THE BALL!!! We don't need a lot of ball pounding in this system.
