Suns are not considered a good defensive team......the problem is the Knicks themselves. Maybe they were hoping that the Suns would give up and go home.

You're being WAY too sensitive IMO. My point isn't that other guys aren't stepping up but that what has led to all of the improved play is Melo setting the tone for the team with his team oriented play. Team wasn't playing like this before he talked to them and changed the way they were playing. Melo is the impetus for all of this.
