Nevermind the fact that we are slowest team in the league of superstar gazelles

At the time signing Beno for the vet minimum seemed like a steal. The Knicks have no cap space so their only option to upgrade is through a trade. In hindsight moving Shump for a point seems like it would have been the best move but at the time I think most fans didn't want to move out another young player. Not a lot of options when you have a contract like Amare's on your cap. If the Knicks have 10-11 Amare they don't make the move for Bargs, have one of the best front lines in basketball and probably focus in on getting a good point.

This thread is ridiculous. Melo looked like he did at the beginning of last season before the Dwight maiming.

Playing Dwight tomorrow scares me now
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

you are by far the most dramatic member on this site, lol.

4 years later, I'm still trying to figure out what "assets" we gave up...because I know people aint talking about injury prone Gallo and end of bench players Randolph and Mozgov.

We also gave up multiple 1st rounders and some 2nd rounders right?

One first and the right to swap firsts in 2016. Not sure about second round picks.

He does have a flair for great, ironic thread titles, though...

You obviously haven't read the brilliant insights of the honorary Nugget mascot, tkf. Denver's only a hop, skip and a Gallo away from title contention. You know, Gallo, the future HOF'r...

You may have to wait awhile to hear the tremendous upside of Randolph and Mozgov, but he will provide them for you if you but ask.

4 years later... Not even smelling the second round. A great long range plan Denver has there. I guess long range means 10 or 20 seasons...

And we gave up max salary cap space too.

Yes, because 27-12-4 at 50% shooting against a top 3 team in the league grows on trees for the league minimum. Tell us more about the 3 mil we gave, too.

4 years later. Unbelievable.

When there is a second player this team hitting shots and Melo isn't double or triple teamed, he has good games. The last few times we had a healthy Tyson and a second player along with Melo hitting shots, we are competitive.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

I agree with that. With a healthy Melo and Tyson and a decent PG (and a healthy Felton almost qualifies), I do think we're a .500 team.

We are 10-21 and don't have a lottery pick to show. If we were closer to .500 with a good PG and a contending roster I'd feel differently
