So Durant is going to walk away from the team he silently signed an extension with?
UM OKC was and is better than us... he went to the finals already.. and he's going to walk away from a city that has embraced him to come to this show?
try again

He was shooting well at the time, had won a rookie of the month award, and was on a cheap 2nd round draft pick contract.

Same with me, I was all over Faried in that draft. But, this situation leaves a bad taste in my mouth. All Summer we heard that Dolan was pissed at Shumpert because Dolan's an overgrown child the devil and now we're trading him 5 games into the season.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Remember that jordan hill guy (plus picks) we traded for a sample of mcgrady, hes averaging 8 & 7 in 17 mins this season.
Just sayin.....we drafted him

He was the 7th? pick in that draft. Several very good point guards went later.

The point wasnt where he went, the point is we gave him away for spoiled goods
If we go based on missed opportunity.......
Stephenson, Amare, ginobili, millsap, could all be knicks

The McGrady trade was one of the worst knick trades ever and there were a lot of them. The administration that made that trade also drafted hill which was a mistake as well.

we might say the same about Shump one day...Shump learned how to shoot though. the rest of his ability on the court is a myth so far

Now and in the future.

Faried is an undersized power forward who cant hit a jumper and defense is just as bad as Melo. No thanks.

Can he get better? sure...but for a team, like the Knicks, who like to shoot and spread the floor, Faried would be a bad addition. The only way I would like this trade is if Denver gave us our 2014 pick back.

Please don't let this happen. Faried is good at rebounding and put backs and that's it. Shump still has untapped potential.

I don't get this one. What happens when Tyson returns? Where does he play?

THis is pretty logical.
Shrump is an orange pig in this organization.
He will be releaved as a person and this will be a blessing for him to go anyware from this sad circus.
I like the guy personality and will follow hia along with Lin to see what he really have.

HOly crap, i just had a long rant and it got lost! Damn.

In a nutshell, like Lin, Shumpert cannot grow because of the team "star" in Melo. He cannot share the spotlight. He will opt out to get his $$ rather than letting the team get better around him. He will push for good talent to leave (ala LIN), so that he is the MAN. In Miami, the stars all took less to make the team better.

This team will not win the ring with Melo as the MAIN star. They will not win with Dolan making basketball decisions of ANY kind. Dolan does not like Shumpert for some stupid reason so the Knicks will lose their 2nd promising young player because the owner's feelings are hurt! How will he feel when Melo does not give him a hometown discount and still ask for $30M per year? I hope he will get smart and let him walk, or better yet, TRADE HIS ASS before that, so at least they get something in return. The problem is, what team would want Melo? Lakers? They can have him. I wonder if MDA has enough bad Karma for that to happen? That would be hilarious! We cannot be so lucky.

As for Denver wanting a pick too, i say WTF???? How about we get the pick? Faried is a better rebounding version of Renaldo Balkman! Go get him or some other FA that can rebound and defend a little? There has to be someone out there better than Chris "worse summer player in league history" Smith!

Papabear Says

From what I hear Denver is looking for a draft pick also. When is the knicks management going to stand up and tell Denver to Kiss our azz. If Dolan wants to be mad at someone he needs to be mad at Denver on how they fleeced us in the last trade for Melo and now they want to do it again?? To hell with Denver don't do the deal. Don't do the deal. Dolan is an azz hole and if he don't change his ways people will be marching to Brooklyn. I won't because I'm a homer. But those young dudes wont think twice. All I can do is continue to root for my team like I've done for over 55 years.

I disagree.

Woodson is the problem. The Coach is the one calling the plays and giving Felton and Hardaway the green light to shoot the rock when they please. This should be a two man show...Melo and Shump. Shump has the ability to drive to the basket and dish it out to Melo for the open jumper. No way should Felton, Hardaway or anyone else (but Melo and maybe JR) be taking more shots than Shump.

Shumpert averages 12 points on 11 shots per 36 min. Faried averages 15 on 11 shots per 36 min. Yet somehow people are treating this like Faried is the one with the worse offensive game.
