However this team realy let me down in the playoffs. I mean they beat up Boston the first 3 games(which is what theyw ere suppose to do without rondo) but they almost allowed boston to force a 7 game. Then the Pacers kicked our buutts pretty much. Knicks need to go far into the playoffs this yearCrushAlot wrote:Same as last year and the team won the division |

The biggest issue was that since we had a lot of older players that either succumb to injury or broke down physically that put more pressure on the remaining players. Players we relied on like Melo, JR, Tyson and Kidd simply couldn't carry the load any longer. The 2nd issue was that Woody simply didn't trust the bench players he did have left to at least take some of the pressure off the remaining key players. That only further drained those players. Papabear Says Nixluva We just ain't used to having a season like last year and some of us get a little crazy because we don't want to go back. I like the positive spin you are putting on this and I hope you are correct. Papabear

Every Knick on the opening day roster played a significant role or was in the rotation for a significant amount of games except for Camby. I do think Woodson had his guys and relied on them more when they were healthy but most coaches have a rotation with guys not in it. Im hoping the same happens this season as well. Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Teletovic has to translate his game to the nba. Blatche is a big time knucklehead that has a hard time avoiding trouble. Last year a girl was raped in his hotel on his birthday. The guy has a pretty checkered past. When you are young, big and talented and you get amnestied because of character issues it is a huge red flag. He avoided charges last year but the guy is troubled. Plumlee looks good. I think they have some guys in Europe that are reported to be good. The guys mentioned though have flaws and could be done in the nba pretty quickly. Not a fan of Blatche at all.gunsnewing wrote:Deron brook and joe. They didn't have any career threatening injuries. I hope people realize that they are much better equipped to sustain injuries than th Knicks are. An injury to Melo or Tyson and the Knicks are a lottery team without lottery picks. I do think Woodson had his guys and relied on them more when they were healthy but most coaches have a rotation with guys not in it. I just can't ignore the fact that Woody knew Melo, JR, Tyson and Kidd were worn down and didn't use his bench. Woody kept making that mistake and I'm hoping he won't have to worry about who to play with so much talent now. IMO there won't be any bad options on the bench. The more talent you give a coach the better. With the depth we have Woody has no excuse not to use it and keep the team fresh for the playoffs. |
