9 boards in limited minutes was pretty surprising. And he played some solid help D in the zone.

I just hope if he is inserted into the starting lineup, Woody will try and play alot of 2 PG sets like earlier in the season to promote ball movement. I realize this will be difficult to have a starting lineup, w/ Shump and JR healthy, but we looked amazingly good at the beginning of the year and I believe it was mostly due to this fact. With another offensive threat out there, I think it would only makes more sense to keep that 2 pg system to begin a game.

JR and Shump would still play major minutes, I just think this would set an excellent tone for the game.

This is what I have been saying since the mins restriction was lifted. Again we got down big in the first qt because they couldnt protect the middle. STAT MUST START

I bet you he won't. Even if I agreed with you, that's not how the coach operates.

Yes, Woodson is stubborn, and loyal to his veterans on his roster

The same reason why we have not added Kenyon Martin and a PG when it was obvious we needed help with our recent injuries

However, I do not think Melo/Amare/Tyson can coexist together and for the most part, the past histry supports this STAT, as their skills/spacing/ DEF *STAT* affects the roster/philosophy/chemistry *we started the season with*

I think in certain match ups Amare should start but not vs majority of the teams in the league
Amare has to continue to work on his DEFENSE, speed/quickness for both ends, get back the 12 footer, be able to hold his own/sometimes be the help DEFENDER, and fix a couple mental weakness like battling for position whether for rebounds or rotating on DEFENSE *with the rest of the team*

Definitely time to start Stat if only to get everyone back to their natural positions. 3 of our starters are playing out of position to start the game; Kidd is a 1 playing the 2 (too small to bother bigger 2 guards), Shump is a good defender but that can be nullified when he goes up against bigger SF's who can out-muscle him, and Melo at the 4 is too small to bang with the bigger PF's. These lineups has hurt our defense a bit, not to mention puts too much pressure on Melo on the offensive end at the start of games.

Woodson has gotten a little too cavalier with all the different starting lineups. Time to start STAT and have Kurt backup Tyson for now.

Definitely way too much pressure on Melo to defend and rebound at the 4

True and it gets Melo to play off the ball a little more. Let Amar'e create double or score if the don't.

Stat looks like hes back, attacking the cup, hakeem shimmy shake, blocking shots,he got that intense face on and I dont think he worries about his knees one bit. Time to let him loose.

hahaha, I see what your doing. Now you see what I meant about there being no active posters here.

Amare was rocking and rolling last night and that fade away jumper was a thing of beauty. Almost as beautiful as the pass from Prigs that Amare when up, extended and boofed it. Looked like Amare from a few years ago

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

It is amazing to watch. I had a feeling he'd be alright this time around. Last year he was coming back from a back injury. It took him a long time to get that bounce in his step back. The surgery he had on his knee this year was more of a procedure than anything. People acted like he had an entire knee reconstruction

why is Woodson treating JR like Golden Boy and Amare like the stepchild?

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

Woodson pulled JR aside in practice. Seems to have worked. He went 4-8 50% last night. Lots of driving and even kicking out. Something you never see from JR

ok let me rephrase the question. Why does it have to take a month of sucking before he "pulls JR aside in practice"?

we don't really know what goes on behind closed doors. Just wish he'd learn to pass to Amare.
