I dont get why they're allowed to keep doing it

maybe it's just an instinct when the team gets down big. kobe does it too if he thinks no one else on the Lakers has got it going.

the crazy thing is Melo was doing such a beautiful job anticipating the double team and passing out of it to start the season. i don't know why he keeps forcing tough shots against Deng. it makes the job of the bulls D so much easier..

I think you're right about it being instinct but I dont think in this situation thats what this is. I think Woodsons game plan is to iso both of them because theyre the only ones who can create a shot

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I think some of it is that they are not doubling Melo most of the time. He is just not having a good nite so far.

Woodstool need to grab the Bulls by the horn. I knew we going to get our butts kicked today, but I didn't know it would be this.

can't believe I was so hyped about the game prior to it starting.

on a side-note (and I'm not blaming any ONE person to be clear), it really does seem that whenever Amare and Melo play the Knicks are bad. I know the injuries are what's to blame more than anything, etc etc. but there's still a patern here. And it's not like they're not trying (Melo-Amare).

Just make it close is all I ask. I don't want to get blown out at home, I don't care if its the Bulls.

Personally I HATE that brand of basketball. Everyone else isn't involved in the offense. Even if Melo and JR are your best shooters/scorers I'd rather see them catch the ball:

- off a curl
- with someone setting a backpick for them
- off a dribble handoff

ISOing Melo and JR to me seems crazy against a Tom Thibodeau coached squad with great defenders.

I'm just mystified at what's going on in this game. The mark of a good team and a good coach will be adjustements so I'm curious to see how we change things up in the 2nd half.

We can't possibly play any worse

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

This game was a real crucible and gut check for Carmelo. So far it's a huge statement. Can he lead this team back to a competitive finish?
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

silver lining: at least we're not getting punked this bad WITH Felton and Shump and Sheed/Camby

Felton, as frustrating as he was at times with his excessive chucking and missing really makes a difference when both your other 2 PGs are over 35 and slow as fuc.k

You're not the only one man (theres a reason my username isnt "isoball"). Im definitely looking forward to the 2nd half too to see how Woodson gets these guys prepared. I dont wanna lose faith in him.

Everyone, including myself, was raving about him getting everyone to buy into the TEAM concept of TEAM defense and moving the ball.

Did success just make everyone forget that? Do we now think we can stroll into the gym and throw alley oops all day n blow teams out?
