Who cares if its a brutal defensive game?
You want Amare in there so we can be down 46-26?
The 90's knicks were often brutal to watch but they made the opponent look more brutal.
I don't think this has been a good defensive game. I think both teams are just playing like **** offensively.
The game I'm watching is showing pretty solid knicks D
Solid not great. I'm seeing a ton of missed open jumpers.
The double teaming and interior D has been excellent. They are forcing Indiana to beat them with jumpers and its not working because they are missing.
Its all about in game adjustments. The more missing, the harder and more aggressive the double teams down low will get.
Good job Woody!
Nice D by Kidd.
Was about to say the same. I watch games from the perspective of a coach (I coach MS girls) and I can tell you the Knicks are playing better than solid on the Defensive end. The Knicks are doubling the post with the weakside perimeter players and are daring the Pacers to beat them with jumpers. That is what you call a GAME PLAN. Its worked thus far, but if the Pacers start connecting then the coach ahs to adjust. But so far, the plan is working.
There was a point when Camby, Wallace and Brewer were in the game - it was like a brick wall. And, we got every damn rebound.
Woody's adjusted at the start - West was abusing Melo and if it continued, Melo would have gotten into serious foul trouble. Like you said, the weakside help on West and Hibbert was a really nice adjustment.
