Go support them then, ultimatenets is calling you. Heck, if your only interested in following the team that looks more likely to win, why don't you become a Heat fan?

"Stat" ain't **** and that's the truth.

Even healthy the guy will have another crap year, and I can officailly say he is overated as hell ..on his own I mean not comparing.

So with that said ..prove me wrong. Have a Great season without being a sofie and getting injured or injuring yourself somehow like punching a cement wall or sumthin or bumping your knee against somebody.

I still say Trade the bitch. But who's gonna swallow that contract?

Do you really think you could beat Amar'e in a fight? Do you really think you're tougher than him? So he's soft is he? Which injury is he soft for not playing through? The one where he was almost blinded? The one where he had holes drilled into his knee? The bulging disc in his back?

Look at his career- have you ever accomplished anything close to the level of success that he has?

I can't stand lame-ass 'fans' who mock players the way just have.

People here haven't achieved anything close to the success of Stephon Marbury either - $100 mil, an Olympic medal, and other awards. What's the point in comparing posters to NBA players?

You must have loved the Reagan years.

Expression and Criticism, as well as observation of other teams are just a few of the many parts of being a "fan" (not to be confused with Fanatic.)

If you don't like this, I have the feeling it is going to be a very long year for many of us.

Looking forward to watching Lin tonight and Knicks tomorrow, but never will I be a fanatic. That is akin to religious extremism, and judging by the comments, similar closed mindedness.

This team is put together to have a winning season and make the playoffs but not to be compete for a championship. Even when healthy, we don't have what it takes. But given the age and injury situation of some key players, we have no chance against teams like the Heat, Laker and OKOC. Routing for a team other than the Knicks isn't an option for real Knick fans. But it's hard to get enthusiastic about a team with an owner like Dolan.

I think the game plan with the way we assembled the front line was to compete with the Heat...I think our calling card would have been defense which would have kept us in most games...Having a big line up would have given Miami problems...I think that is what made Boston/Miami games competitive...But Amare's health was key...I'm starting to get on board about Dolan...Seems like we hire these GMs and coaches and they do more damage to the franchise than anything...Amare signing could set us back to at least 7 seven years of irrelevant basketball..And Donnie is a hero here...MDA is beloved...

GM's are hired to do execute a plan.

They are Fired also.

I guess we'll never know if Walsh was in favor of signing amare for 5 years or at all.

WE keep blaming the Gm's. Nobody signs off on a 5 year uninsured contract without understanding the full implications of the player, his injury and impact the contract has on the franchise.

Blame has to be set on someone? Pretty easy to say who is the lead figure of this franchise.

Funny...You give the GM the job and tell him to execute his plan...The second major move after hiring the pick and roll coach, they went out and got the best pick and roll PF..Well it all went horrible wrong..So now we don't know if it was the GM's idea or MDA's idea...It's all Dolan...

So now we're pawning the Amare signing on Dolan as well?

I'm not a Dolan fan but this "Walsh can do no wrong" mentality some have here is ridiculous.

dolan was forced to hire walsh after dolan epitomized ten years of how not to be a good franchise model.

walsh, left alone to work, did a fine job of creating cap space while d'antoni soldiered through an ugly two years of coaching many players who knew they were only expensive stopgaps. that d'antoni is held accountable by some for those two years is unfair and laughable.

obviously walsh and other gms were duped by lbj-- but where the rubber meets the road walsh had to sign some big name and proceed forthwith. unfortunately this is where pr forces a gm's hand. after slogging through two miserable seasons of roster flush a franchise can't risk alienating the fanbase. imagine what would have occurred had we not signed anyone that summer. and on this point lets remember that those two years of roster flush were not following on the heels of success but utter failure and futility-- thanks to dolan, thomas, and layden.

so walsh proceeded to assemble a team around stoudemire.

even if walsh were reluctant to sign stoudemire, he had to stick to a plan... and he did.

yet if you have to trace the affairs of this franchise to one source that source is dolan. the fish rots from the head down.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I keep reading, on this board, that Dolan was FORCED into siging Walsh...can someone share a link as to where this info is coming from?

Walsh...left alone...GAVE Houston the rights to swap 2011 draft pick and 2012 first round pick and what bugs me out the most (and surprised its not mentioned more often) is that this man brought in MDA...A coach well known for his POINT GUARD ran system..and in his 4 years here has NEVER BOTHERED TO SIGN, DRAFT OR TRADE FOR A POINT GUARD!!!!

What?!!

I always disliked MDA but for that fact alone, the man was did wrong and set up for failure even if the plan was to try and sign LBJ. Walsh never gave him THE ONE PIECE he needed to keep him afloat.

although...with that said...he did have Marbury which, regardless of how some may feel about him, was the perfect player, aside from Nash, for his SSOL offense and he threw him away.

Ha! That side of the Internet does annoy me- for me there's a difference between criticising a player and just flat out abuse. Especially when said player could easily beat their ass! Sheer keyboard cowardice- it's like that guy who tweeted abuse to Amar'e and then went crying to the media when he tweeted some back.

I just think, if you want to follow more than one team fine, but if your going to hedge your bets until you see who is going to win more, and then switch your support, that's just bandwagoning- it's just wrong!
