"It's up to the front office to decide about that ridiculous contract." "I wanted Jeremy back." "No one ever called me selfish before Lin came here."

![]() crzymdups wrote:So far Melo has said: You're right- despite him explaining many times he wanted Lin back, and Lin saying that there was no problem at all between them, and no source actually saying that there was a problem between them and that Melo wanted him gone- you know better than anyone involved, because you have looked into Jeremy's eyes, and Carmelo's eyes, and you can see that Melo was jealous of your and Jeremy's relationship and that he was trying to break you up! What about all the quotes where Melo said he did want Lin back? Why are Lin fans so obsessed with the idea that Melo hated him?! Why is it so important to you to believe that?! Melo isn't even the GM! everyone knows it was Dolan's call to get rid of Lin, what the heck does Melo and whether he loved/liked/was indifferent to/hated playing with Lin have to do with it?! You're trying to someone blame Melo for a decision that wasn't even his to make! like I said, why do you need to believe that Melo hated Lin and somehow is responsible for him leaving? |

When we watch film of him and just watching him play over the years, he rarely turns the ball over. He just runs the team, just runs the offense, don’t try to do too much, shoot when he’s open and try to get everyone else involved." - Carmelo Anthony once a knick always a knick

![]() ...ok, this is not a Lin post.
I just want to say this, if it wasn't for the Novak, JR and Ronnie Brewer signings one could call this off-season a failure. Had enough Melo?

You're kidding yourself if you don't think having Jason Kidd, Pablo P, and Raymond aren't an upgrade over the 2 bag of bones(BD and Bibby), TD the point guard that can't, and the Turnover machine Lin. Do I have mention the much older Camby and Thomas taking over bench roles of Jeffries and Jordan? I mean this is the bench we're talking about. If you wouldn't sign up for 10-12 minutes at the Power Forward position from Kmart or Pedophile Andersen to spell Amare's glass bones, then I don't know what to tell you. With the exception of Felton and Brewer as starters, most of the signings bolster our depth at key positions. Something we lacked severely last year and reared it's ugly head big time in the playoffs. Did I mention we get 22 year old all rookie phenom Iman Shumpert early next year? It's like a midseason gift as we works his way into form for the playoffs. Guess you're one of those glass half empty guys that doesn't see the big picture... |

If you are... It's not the loses that bother me (ok, maybe Lin's) but the acquisitions. Perhaps I'm being too pessimistic, but we signed 3 players at the very end of their careers to more than 1 year deals. All 3 players will decline in skill from last year. Had enough Melo?

Those guys were in the twilight of their career but still could play. The Knicks are being built to win and compete now. They had very little money to spend and still were able to add guys that I think will make big contributions next year. I think the team is much better than when the season ended.
