This poll is deceiving obviously the knicks will be better than the 7th seed since they will be healthier 7 in better shape with a full training camp. Problem is without Lin they will finish anywhere between 4-8 and never make it out of the 2nd round as felton gets older and fatter

Knicks will have big trouble at the finish line. I think they can and will play well early. But as Amare breaks down again and additional older bodies show their age--we will limp into the playoffs and then it depends on matchups.

I wish all these poster "fans" with "waning interest" would fade completely into some other board while the getting is good.

Been a Knicks fan since '68 (had Clyde's rookie card). 40 years of management and coaching and player stupidity doesn't have my interest wane. Waning interest doesn't reflect being a fan. It's a symptom of a front running mentality. "Whyyyyyyyyy oh whyyyyyyyy can't we winnnnnnnnnn nowwwwwwwwww, Mommmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee????????"

I really don't give a shet what you do with your money. Is your interest in the team? Great. If your only interest is winning chips, then buy a camper and change your address every few years.

I am a Knicks fan. Whether they lose, win, almost win, lose continually, blow up the back pages, fight the good fight, give away the farm, steal some little kid's lunch money or paint MSG maroon and lime green and play sludgeball on their way to the worst season ever.

It's the Knicks. My interest doesn't wane. This is my team. Live with it.

Lin's great (possibly), but wasn't here when it really counted. Melo was. Get over it.

and when all else fails what happens? Hand the ball off the face of your franchise, watch him have some good statistical games and its another first round exit full of excuses because 47% doesnt win in the playoffs. Lets challenge history NOT to repeat itself.

Lin gives you a dynamic playmaker.. a guy who has intangibles and is young and clutch and can rally his teammates. Without him we are team of veterans built around Melo, which history shows doesnt yield much come postseason. Im sure this year will be different

We will have a MUCH BETTER regular season but I don't see us getting past Miami. Well Mr. Dolan, how much is it worth to you to get past them. You have one chance and need to decide by Tuesday...

Lin doesn't suddenly get the Knicks past Miami. Building a favorite to beat them is impossible.

The offseason was mostly continuity based, but the team is better with the bench additions. It's up to Melo and Stat to perform up to par because they're the core players. If we get the Woodson effort level from let year we'll be really good.

Should the Knicks have counted on the platelet therapy Jeffries is having on his balky knee? Or on the development of Jerome Jordan? Last I checked the Knicks probably could find another end of the bench big man like Gadz if they were really in a spot. I don't think the Knicks will regret not giving Fields a kings ransom and I wouldn't be surprised if Jorts revisits NY after a year in europe or the dleague. I think this is all about Lin and I am not sure what the right move is for the franchise. Berger said he thinks Lin will be untradeable with the third year balloon payment. If he is correct the Knicks would be signing Lin with the intention of trading others. Personally I am not sure if I want to see Shump, and a bunch of draft picks sent out of town to move Stat so the Knicks can keep Lin. I want Lin back but this is far from an easy decision. Grunwald's other moves fit with a veteran team trying to win a championship in my opinion.
