i personally dont like phil and dint want him but he made many fair points. Amare and melo dont fit and if wee dont won the birds rights case we are in trouble because shump is out half the season so i really domt know what to expect.

McEnroe on Costas just said Jeanie Buss told him that Phil wanted the Knicks job and was never asked by the Knicks. Sour grapes but also a mistake by the organization.

It might be everyone is correct.

Maybe Phil put it out that he wanted the job but with the premise that the roster be changed and Melo traded.

Thus, He was never asked.

Is it that important we assign blame? Who rejects who?

Nothing Phil said was out of line. We all have seen Melo and Amare with Tyson in the middle is "clumsy". does not mean it can't work with changes.

I would imagine Phil's triange is not condusive to our guys skill set and thus its not a good fit.

Yeah, I'd love Phil to come in and Starphuch the team but if both parties are not into it then its better we pass.

Phil said that weeks LATER and well after it was reported that the Knicks were in negotiation to resign Woodson. The Then Master is just mad cause he isn't the big draw he thought it would be.

I honestly think Phil thought the moment he let it be known is was interested in coaching again, he expected teams to simply line up for his services. Reality has a was of disagreeing with such people.
