Knicks need to earn our loyalty. Put together a team that wins more than 1 playoff game a decade and you'll see enthusiasm for the Nets go away.

They need to earn our interest, and definitely earn out support, but your team is your team. The laundry is bigger than that puke Dolan or Jerome James' contract. Screw the carpetbaggers.

Unless the Nets get a dominant big man like Dwight, they are at the very best looking at second round exists year after year. I think Woodsons Knicks team can take them in a 7 game series.

t
If you can start threads to discuss how the nets messed up, its just as fair to discuss their success. Its news and its relevant to the knicks.

A great rivalry in NY could blossom.

"Second round exits" are spoken like its beneath us.

We have yet to do this in some time.

Rosters change both good and bad. Look at our very knicks.

while i agree... this is actually a knicks board. there are nets boards if the knicks havent earned your loyalty.

Knicks front court should be dominating. Amare hasn't shown up in a year and a half. Need to dump him like Atlanta dumped Johnson.

People said Joe Johnson was untradeable. People said Zach Randolph was untradeable. Anyone can be traded in this league if they can still produce. Amar'e, while he's not what he was, can still produce and I'm sure there's some team that realizes he's just not a great fit next to Melo and Tyson.

If the Knicks need to move him, I'm sure it's possible.

Don't take the fact that they're not attempting to move him to appease impatient fans to mean that he's impossible to trade.

Move him for what? Hedo(nism)?

C'mon!! Now you are smoking crack! Who else even offered him a contract 2 years ago? Now that it looks awful they would trade for him (without giving up another trash contract)?

If Amare has a solid year, he will probably be movable next summer. He will only have two years left on his deal. The Nets are fools for getting Johnson. Dude just turned 31 and is clearly on the downside of his career. That move only works if they get Howard, and that does not look possible anymore.

Trust the Process

weirdly they totally took themselves out of the dwight howard sweepstakes by signing Misra to a full MLE when no one else was even talking about signing him. if they gave that dude the mini $3M MLE they could still get dwight, but now it is pretty much impossible.

42-40 nets team. will be fun to watch, should have some close losses to the Knicks. and also some blow out losses to the knicks.

Bynum reported not too keen on resigning with Orlando instead wanting Cleveland or Dallas. Me think he is wanting the extension with Lakers now. Can't blame him.

If lakers out of the picture, the odds of Dwight in Brooklyn go up.

Ha ha ha ha ha............

Great for NY basketball!!!!!!!

Not great for Knicks if Nyets hoist a banner before them.

Hate to say it, I'll root for the kNicks but I'll root for the nets to win if they go further than the Knicks. Same for Mets and Jets. Not root hard mind you, but I'll always root for the nets to beat Miami or Boston!

Billy King has put himself 1 trade away. If he doesnt get Howard though he is left with no cap room , no draft picks, and aging declining players. Everything is determined on Howard. What I still dont understand is why humphries isnt looking for a contract somewhere. Have the Nets promised him a huge deal if they dont get Howard. Lopez same thing U would have to thinlk an offer sheet is out there. Why wouldnt another team offer him a deal. Makes no sense. If they trade for Howard then trading the 6th pick was clearly not the worst trade but if they dont Id much rather have the younger player.

BroPez is not the worst center, is young still and would have trade value.

We'll have to see plan B. Im not following the Nets that close but King is all in now.

I thought I read if he does get howard they will pay some serious superTaxes in a few years. A number of $107 million was mentioned. Don't know over what time frame that was.

Thats a lot of Cheddah!
