Also, I really believe that Woody should smell the coffee and admit Amar'e should come off the bench for the Knicks to play well in the playoffs. I wasn't a believer until Melo had this amazing stretch where he practically carried us. Today, Melo has been at his best with Amar'e out. I might not be as interested in working Stat back to the starting lineup (which will take a while) as much as Melo continuing his magic and then having Stat come off the bench and helping the scoring of the second unit and possibly spelling PF Melo and C Tyson.

I want the best possible team for the playoffs and the way Melo is playing, he has to be THE MAN!

Stat plays better when the middle is opened up - in other words when Tyson is out. Melo plays better when Stat is out. Really, is it so hard to just bring Stat off the bench during the regular season and see how it works out. I don't get the not trying part. The stats show it might work out well, but the 20 million dollar salary won't allow it, it appears.

Even if he comes off the bench he still will play most of the game with either one of them. Starting is really irrelevant.

I rather Amare play most of his bad D vs Greg Stiesma than KG. Using Boston as an example. To say it does not matter is not having a grip on reality.
