Melo is clearly the best player to wear a knicks uniform since Patrick Ewing.

I find is amazing how some of the so called knicks fans are OK with blaming Melo entirely during the losing streak but throw a pissy fit when someone says Melo is the best player since Ewing.

Didn't they barely beat the Craptors, lose to the Hornets, and needed a bailout to beat the Wolves? Only 2 decent teams (LA and Dallas) during that stretch.

We beat Indiana twice, Orlando twice, Philly once, Milwaukee, and Chicago.

No comparison.

Nix, MDA benched Chandler in a close game against Boston for the entire 4th,got back in with 2 mins left, played Novak instead and we lost..He did the same the following game against Dallas...U think Chandler was balls to the wall after that, Keep in mind this guy has a freaking ring to prove the defense wins...Who are u kidding Nix defending MDA...I saw all the games NIx, sometimes twice...

STAT. Had better streak last year as well. This incessant coronation of Melo is pretty amusing.

I love Tyson Chandler to death, love him. Tell me who's going to drain that 3 in regulation and OT. Tyson Chandler? Amare Stoudemire? Lin? Tell me.

without Tyson in the game there would be no need to drain no threes. We would have been blown out by 20+.

Without Melo, Tyson's impact night in and out would be useless. Tyson Chandler is a role player, Melo is a franchise player.

I am talking about what I am seeing on court. You are parroting ridiculous labels. Pretty lame argument. Check out how the team did when Melo was out for a stretch versus when Tyson was out for a stretch.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

You're entire premise is lame. Comparing Tyson Chandler to Melo is a joke. You want ridiculous, look at all your previous posts in this thread.

loweyecue: You can say Tyson Chandler is the best defensive player since Ewing (Camby?) but calling him the best player since Ewing is a serious reach.

You seem to be misinterpreting nobody is saying melo isn't an important knick he has become our main offensive weapon but i value a guy like tyson because he does all the things that dont show up on teh scoresheet like tipping balls out, jumping on loose balls. also the guys is playing with more injuries than anybody

What player since Tyson has had a more positive impact on the team? He should be DPOY and will likely lead the league in FG%

For most of the year Tyson was doing his job, but Melo wasn't. As soon as we found a PG in Lin, without STAT or Melo the team was able to win games. It's not saying you don't need a star player, but it did underscore just how good the team can be with Tyson at the heart of it. Lin, Tyson, Jared, Shump and Novak was a good combo and whatever periods of good play the team had all year were with those guys playing and it all went to hell whenever STAT and Melo were playing. Then thank God Melo decided to start playing hard and the team as a whole has benefited from that, but a few good overall games does not a season make. People are talking like Melo has this huge record of good play here and he doesn't. You can count on one hand the number of complete games he's had where he played well on both ends. Tyson has been a far more consistent performer.

Furthermore this team currently wins with defense and that is really all about our role players!!! For most of the year Melo wasn't providing the one thing the role players don't do well, which is score, however they showed they could in fact win games anyway.

Ya some people are oblivious to Tysons impact on this team. last Year we were the worst team on defense but this year he has made this team a much better defensive team.

If you reply to my post and say "some people" I am going to assume you are talking about me. What makes you think I am "oblivious" to Tyson's impact?

Changing the topic again? This is your MO Bonn and you should try it with someone else. Doesn't work with me.

How on earth could you think I changed the topic from what you wrote? Your comment is mind-boggling.

What I say is fact and what anyone who disagree with me is false and that is final. You are a hater if you do not agree with me. You have a low basketball IQ and do not understand bball and how it should be played.
