Despite the loss, this race isn't over. Look at the Celtics April Stretch!!! All those bac2bacs so close together and a triple bac2bac.

Dude. Let's just get the 8th seed and take our chances with the Bulls. We have no chance at anything but 8.

After a loss like tonight it may seem that way, but until they actually fall out of contention for the Atlantic it's still possible. Boston could easily fall back to us over the course of this April stretch. If you look at it, it's a BRUTAL stretch of games and they're gonna be sucking wind at the end of it. Did you see all those bac2bacs and the bac2bac2bac off one day of rest following all those bac2bacs??? This is going to be very interesting. It's not over yet.

How about missing the playoffs? Just as possible, it not probable.

I thought this way to a few weeks ago but Celtics are on fire and Knicks just lost a 15 pt lead in the 4th. Don't think we have any shot at higher than 8. And I pray we get there.

and I rather finish 8th than 7th but would not be surprised if we miss the playoffs and milwaukee gets in. We're depleted and back to trying to play without a pg

Sorry nixluva. This board does not give proper appreciation to your fandomness and your incomparable statistical formatting skills.

Celts playing b2b2b. I smell a Truth injury.
The sicksers have been doing it with smoke and mirrors and Collins' hopes and dreams.

3rd seed could still happen. It could. It's 1999 again, just different.

Can we get some stats about how we'd match up against OKC in the Finals?

I think there's a good chance we finish about 4 - 8 and miss the playoffs.

Got to agree here with intent
3rd seed is a longshot

However..
Like Frazier says Knicks gotta get down to GET UP
and seems to rise to challenges of injuries and tough NBA schedules foes,

Knicks can win some tough games and make and seed 3th to 7th a tough spot but they can do it with some help & luck

If they don't grab the division I'd rather them stay at 8. I'm less afraid of Chicago in round 1 than Miami. Pick your poison.

yea I hear ya

but teams like BULLs when NYK is on schedule
watch how quick Derrick Rose gets healthy

its like Chicago saying "we aint losing to them guys NY" NO Way

Knicks matchup well with Bulls
but with or without Rose %100 NY isnt still beating bulls even if it went 7game series

I'd love to be wrong on that one

if we were at full strength with Woody coaching we would beat the bulls easily. Wouldn't even be a contest. Now with no Amare and Lin it becomes becomes a bit of a tougher task

I don't know about no contest, but I think we match up well with them at full strength.

I know it's gonna be tough, but as you can see Philly isn't playing lights out BB right now. They're shaky. I know the C's have been winning a lot lately, but they have an absolutely BRUTAL schedule. They lost a tough one tonight and then they play again tomorrow. It just keeps coming like that thru most of April. Bac2Bac following Bac2Bac.

Knicks have it all in their hands IMO. I believe that Philly and Boston will lose some games and the opportunity to move up will be there.

I think you are right about Philly. They seem to be wearing down a bit. The Knicks need to make sure they keep winning.

The Knicks will need some luck too, but mostly they just need to win. I really wish we had our guys cuz i'd have no doubt that we'd take the Atlantic. As it is, the team needs Shump and JR to step up and help Melo. We can win some of these tough games if they can help Melo out. It can't be just one guy. They also need to find a way to get Novak more open looks.

Good job, Nix. The Sixers are the team thats wearing down a bit and at best, we may be able to catch them for the 7th spot. The Celts are really playing good ball and it'll be tough to catch them. Keep in mind, we have a tough schedule ourselves. We are going have to win a couple of tough road games to stay in the race.
