People put words in his mouth and want to see Lin traded if he can't have a usage% above 30 to LA or some place where he can start a new or moved to the bench because the second unit is his.

The man likes Lin, Lin is a Knick and he is our starting point guard.

very interesting...

yesterday woody is saying he's going to his veterans come crunch-time. today he was saying he'll go to whoever is hot that night—"yesterday it was jr smith and novak" the next night it might be "Jeremy".and that Jeremy is the starting point guard—that he's "earned it" yada yada yada

i think he got the memo from David Stern this morning.

Or perhaps writers need to stop hanging on every syllable like it's The Constitution

it's only basketball and we already know drama

Woodson is in a great situation right now. He's got a team that already has a high degree of offensive acumen built in. He didn't have to reinvent the wheel. Goodness knows he never really had much of an offensive plan anyway, but now he can mostly focus on D and managing the players and their effort level. It's a good position to be in. Every coach needs some kind of good break to have real success and this guy came off the scrap heap and now he's been resurrected into a perfect little spot. Only has to hold it together for another 22 games. If he can ride this on into the playoffs he may just have something special. Woody didn't have to deal with the pressure of trying to figure things out when we didn't have a PG or have to deal with the ups and downs of a crazy schedule. No really tough decisions. Heck even the PG thing is pretty much a wrap with Baron already having leg issues. He just has this little snapshot of a season to get thru. How's that for the fickle hand of fate.

"Goodness knows he never really had much of an offensive plan anyway, ..."

and you know this how?

Woodson has been a head coach for a talented, yet immature, offensive roster before. He drove them to the playoffs.

Woodson knows offense

nixluva - judging from the early results, Woodson is a better offensive mind than Mike DAntoni

"Put it this way: to make everything smooth sails, Melo has to evolve overnight and become something he has never been in his career, a well-rounded teammate. The flashy flashy drop-the-buckets will take us only so far. Lin is a casualty."

Lin is no more a casualty than any player who cannot hold his own against an elite matchup. For all the whining over Lin being a victim, he still must man-up on defense, first and foremost.

I saw some of last nites game and I don't see much different on the court except they are hitting their shots.

Melo went 4-12.

But we win in a blowout.

Go figure!

Yeah he pulled pretty fast 180 degree reversal there from - The way I was taught, rookies are supposed to sit in the bench and learn.

Dolass wants his money. The things that always hurt Lin are now going to keep him in the starting lineup.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Maybe, next time, sports writers will do some homework.
