Howard alone makes for an elite defensive team.
Amare and Chandler make for an average defensive team at best, and that's if an opposing team can't target Amare on pick-and-rolls.

Don't get happy about beating a lottery. Anyone with sense would happily take Howard.

Exactly! Why trade 2 for 1. That 1 being Howard who is a great defensive player but still rough around the edges offensively and turrible free throw shooter. Amare elevaes his game to another level in the playoffs whereas Dwight shrinks and relies on jumpshooters. Give this team a chance. Wait til after the season to judge it we can win with this group

And miss out on Howard? No thanks. We can get Howard bring in Phil run the triangle and maybe trade Melo for Williams.
