Dude got cut twice for a reason. No thanks.

holy debbie downer. Dude did not get cut because of his lack of PG skills, just a numbers game with roster spots.

Debbie Downer? Not really.

The guy is a 3rd string PG at best. I dont really care who the 15th man is honestly.

Hello sunshine, 3rd string PG is exactly what we were looking for. Though I admit the effusive reaction on this thread left me scratching my head.

we've been without meth since about May, and just got a pound a few weeks ago. we're on an all out binge

ROTFLMAO!

Well, as Grand Poobah of the Jeremy Lin fan club, I would like to extend honorary membership to Briggs and TMS, then. I would like to see both of those guys return now that "good times" (and winning basketball) are coming our way.

Nice, I been looking forward to seeing what this kid can do, and in a Knicks uniform? What a great community pick off waivers!

Get ready for practice, Lin, because we need you to play and maybe big minutes Wednesday night.

Knicks claimed him off waivers, so I *think* that means we own the contract he was previously signed to, but that contract in not fully guaranteed, ie when Shump and Baron are ready he can be cut without too many financial consequences.

Acc to NY post it will non guaranteed. So K-Mart remains a possibility depending on the situation then. Not we can't cut other people like JJ, but I shouldn't get my hopes up.

as much as we all hate JJ, he does some very smart things on the court all the time. Dude just can't finish around basket to save his life. Oh well.

He will get his minutes when Chandler sits and Amare still on floor, cause we all know Amare is also clueless.

But Lin is better than Jimmer right?

Jimmer is a lights out shooter. I think at worse your going to get Jason Terry.

Welcome to the Jeremy Lin fan club, sir!

Thanks!

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

On Lin

“He’s very quick,” D’Antoni said. “He defends pretty well, but he can really get in the lane and distribute the basketball. We haven’t seen him play in a couple years, but when we worked him out we thought we liked him.”

“Right now he’s our third point guard so if somebody wakes up with a cold he’s playing a lot. If not, we’ll see.”

BRIGGS is that you dressed up as Glen Grunwald? Why do good things keep happening to the Knicks? Has the curse of "The One Who Shall Not Be Called By Name (IT)" finally lifted?

maybe that one has been lifted, but the bottom line is that this is still the Knicks. In one way, shape, or form, we will all get our hearts ripped out of chests.

He is insurance.

Ivy league still has tough requirements to get in. Dude must have some genetic math skills?

I hope if we can, and he is willing to keep him in the D-league and develope him.

Lets be real, He is third string now, and 4th when Baron gets on the court.

Any Harvard Grad (he graduated?)makes it to the NBA is a good thing!

They used to feel the same way in New Orleans about the Saints.

Things change.

TD is not a PG, and Bibby has one foot in the grave. Not saying Lin has the ability to do so, cause I've never seen him play, but if he had the goods, we're looking for a 2nd string PG. If he's good enough, the opportunity is there.

Confirmed Knicks have claimed former Harvard PG Jeremy Lin off the waiver wire as stopgap. Cut by Warriors.

A Beautiful Thing.

Certainly is, Misterearl!
I'm excited to see how Lin fits with MDA.
I think that it has the potential to be a very good signing for PG depth.

I feel like I'm "channeling" Grunwald....
Nice signing, Glen!

Jeremy Lin gives the Knicks back some of the international flavor it lost when we traded Gallinari.

I absolutely, positively endorse this signing. Please let it be confirmed.

The Jeremy Lin Fan Club Line forms on Canal Street.

International? Dude is from Cali! But to go this long without an Asian-American since we cut Wat Misaka in '47... that's my storyline.

as someone who's lived in New Orleans, I can assure you that the attitude regarding the Saints didn't change until they won the Super Bowl

anyway, I'm just happy the team doesn't suck anymore... better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all or some ****
