Now that he is coming to the Knicks we should forget about the rest of his NBA career and focus on him being a role player on the Mavericks for one season and use that to define his career. Tyson Chandler is the best center of this generation and deserves $14 million a season for his career 8 points, 8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks average. Tyson Chandler is a legend in the making. I hope to retire his jersey when this is all over.

So what would you do if you're the Knicks GM?

Not sign Chandler for $14 million a season.

Keep'em coming. I'm sure you're real tough to wield the ban hammer when anyone insults you. I guess you can't take what you dish out.

oh boy... here's the final piece.

Don't think NYK out of CP3 Hunt if it gets Ty Chandler. Ty & CP r close friends. Most likely, Amare would hit trade market.

I would be pissed if Amare is traded.

for me that's pure speculation on Broussard's part, nothing more.

Ok dude, let's see you get dissed for no reason. You can't have no reaction at all. It's natural. I didn't overreact. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

I've been away from the forums for a while but ah it's good to be back.

Name calling and bickering aside, I do think C2D has got a point that prior to coming to Dallas Chandler was labeled as a complete draft bust, then as injury prone. I like Chandler and think he's grown from his experience being on those crappy bulls teams and has def. benefited from playing with Chris Paul and then Dirk and a pretty awesome Mavs squad. That and fans have been dying for a true C who rebounds and defends to help out Amare.

Little bit worried about him staying healthy.

That being said C2D, if you're the Knicks GM and you don't sign Chandler, it sounds like you'd rather roll the ball out with Chauncey/Melo/STAT and then....?

see what happens with Chris Paul, Dwight Howard? Maybe someone in the Knicks front office has a strong feeling that neither of them are really coming to NY.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

We need a center. This is fact. Who would you sign or trade for to plug this huge hole?

Mixed feelings if NYK dangles Amare as trade bait for CP3. Ugh... bad karma... one surgically repaired knee for another... oh and a detached retina in a pear tree.

I would rather spend $14 million in cap room on filling various needs, including center. All $14 million to one guy who is an averageNBA center is a no-go. It's like signing Paul and having nobody else to sign, except this guy is not Paul. He's Tyson Chandler. And now you still don't have anyone else to sign besides the veterans minimum.

whenever you can add an elite defender at C you do it. Every team he's been on, his team's have been in the top 10 in defensive efficiency.. that is NOT a coincidence.

I've been a big proponent of bringing him in before the melo trade and i never thought we'd actually go this route with everyone focusing in on chris paul... but in the end this is the BEST move especially when there is a huge possibility of nash coming over next yr for the MLE...

You have to have an alternative. You can't just say Chandler is injury prone and have no plan to fill the C.
