With the former Knicks it was SSOL

With the Chauncey Billups Knicks we slowed it down and went half court

The instant Chauncey was injured, the Knicks lost any and all offensive identity. Toney Douglas only contributes when his shot is on.

Landry Fields is reduced to a one on one player. Not a good look for anyone.

We are back to being a pickup basketball squad with confused roles and running Roger Mason at lead guard.

It is what happens when the balance is so fragile.

I can't believe how bad TD has been. He wants no part of paint on offense and he's not competing on D. This is sad to see this team playing so badly.

Man. I can't believe our luck. Chauncey and Amare both go down with injuries early on. Our post-trade lack of depth is exposed. Our surprise rookie dissappears. Top it off with Ray Allen breaking out of a slump just in time to shoot unconsciously all series long. Fucking sucks.

Time to jettison TD in a trade. His defense was his primary upside, now he brings nothing to the team unless his shot is on a good streak, rare though that may be.

I think we should look to use TD and Billups and Fields in a trade to upgrade the 1 and 5 spots.

Our guards are virgins, they don't penetrate at all and constantly dribbling 10 seconds off the clock at the top of the key with people standing around before getting into whatever offensive play they are running. No movement on offense, no movement on defense ergo close to a blowout

Every move is without confidence or forthought. Toney Douglas is a reaction guard, who retreats, instead of a guard who can dictate rhythm.

That sets everything in reverse.

Rather than playing with verve and rhythm, the offense is reduced to rushed or forced shots.

Landry Fields misses his running buddy Raymond Felton more than anyone.

Toney Douglas is a combo guard who should be coming of the bench. Instead, he's being forced to start at point guard because of the injury to Billups. Before we all decide to get rid of him at all costs can we just take a deep breath and relax? He's been disappointing but can still be a useful player for a championship caliber team.

We need to come out of this draft with a starting PG. Forget everything else. Resign billups at less than half of what he makes, if he is willing, otherwise let him go. Him sitting on the bench is useless to us. Then sign a center or trade for 1, but DRAFT A PG.

I think we need to do both, draft and trade for one. Stat is starting to break down.
