When you can hit 20 3 pters, it would be insanely stupid to stop. Not saying they should shoot threes only on offense or when it's not falling. But you guys stereotype so much you cant even appreciate a good 3 pt streak when it does happen.

yep yep. and it hurts the agendas of people who opposed the trade. whatever... they're looking better tonight. efforts like this would've beat the pacers.

Not sure what this is all about. Knicks have been so horrible they are a national story. This is game 236 of D'Antoni's tenure here. Do you think one win changes things or is this because more posters are not on the game thread tonight?

it's game 236 of his tenure??? are you kidding me.

he's had like four entirely different teams here in three seasons.

it's game 7 of chauncey and melo playing together with amare.

calm down.

You made a post about agendas. I think you're the one that needs to calm down. Opposing opinions are not agendas.

In case you didn't realize, the Knicks are likely to give up 100 points again tonight. The only thing that changed was the 3 ball falling.

As they say, though, a win is a win. I;ll take it. But it's nothing more than that.

You're even wrong about the Knicks giving up 100 points! Keep trying maybe someday you'll get something right.

Good win, 3 ball falling and a little defense. Once they figure out how to win when the 3 ball isn't falling, they will take a giant step.

giving up 99 points is better than giving up 117 points. I saw improved defense tonight. and better effort and ball movement all around.

i don't have an agenda. unless, well, okay, my agenda is for people to be patient. i said it would take 10-15 games with the new lineup. chauncey/melo/amare have now played 7 games together.

patience is good. this team can be good. and, yes, they'll be better next season when they have a training camp and can balance the roster a little in the summer.

The Knicks have won games lots of different ways. They don't always have shooting nights from 3 like this, but it was at least supported by a solid effort on D. It wasn't a perfect game defensively, but it was a marked improvement. They still have lax moments on D that drive you crazy, but more often than not tonight they were playing hard on D. GOOD WIN!

Knicks deserve credit for coming out with an effort like this. Great win versus a quality team.

Look forward to catching the highlights of this one.
Noticed they had Amar'e out there late when we had a solid lead, seems like it would have been a good time to reduce some of those minutes in the middle of a back to back.

Glad we won but didnt like that win at all.

- Fields trying to do too much and failing
- Needing Douglas to make an insane amount of 3's to win

I dont see this strategy as a sustainable way to win games.

was a lot of fun watching TD go off from 3 pt range tonight... however this is not how i want this team to be playing living & dying by the 3 is not the way to win games consistently... for 1 night we could have beat any team we couldn't miss from distance, but over the long haul we need Chauncey & Amare to get on the same page w/the PnR & establish the bread & butter of this offense... that's gonna open up scoring opps for everyone else... Melo will get his points regardless i'm not worried about him offensively but i do see Amare's body language falls off a bit when he's not being involved much in the offense.

i liked the effort on defense tonight, everyone was hustling w/the exception of Amare

the problem is this team shoots that many 3's regardless if they're making them or not... no one wants us to stop shooting 3's when they're falling but when they're not shooting well from distance in games (& it's happened several times this year) i would like this team to be able to establish the PnR game & focus on getting stops rather than taking the lazy way out & shooting up 3 pointers from all over the court, banking the game on taking & making a high % of 3 pointers is a terrible strategy to win games... for tonight it worked & it was fun as hell to see TD tying the record i'm not unhappy we won but i've seen this team lose all too many games by going cold shooting the 3's this season & no adjustments being made to alter the offensive strategy.

it's unsustainable to win by the three... contrast that with, say, winning with defense

The thing is that they were already in the lead due to good defense!!! Let's not ignore this fact. They only extended the lead by the 3. Those were good shots for the most part. So long as the ball movement is there and they take good shots. They shared the ball and were very active. Fields was trying to get involved and I had no problem with him looking for his offense. It helps to keep the defense honest.
